I understood that there was nothing that could be done, but there was no real explanation as to why. When I followed up with an email to the rep that came out, I asked for alternatives....just some friendly suggestions on how we could proceed. I never got a response. We were working with insurance funds, and were willing to pay to get the situation resolved. I was very dissapointed that not only did the problem not get resolved, but requests for a reason why, and requests for tips on another company that might help or other ways of fixing the issue were left unanswered.

Overall, it was a good experience. The crew was efficient and did a nice job. I did have a few issues with the gate not being placed in the right place and end cap design on the posts but worked together with my builder and Glidden to get it corrected. The fence looks and works great. A neighbor of mine recommended the sturdy 6" posts and I'm glad I went that route.

Glidden Fence Co. Inc. sent out the nicest, nicest guys to put my fence up. They were very efficient. They're very pleasant. It was just an over-all good experience. The fence looks really fabulous.

The company was wonderful to work with. We were moving in from out of state and had a dog. The weather and the home owners association delayed the installation of the fence. But Glidden put in a temporary fence that inabled our dog to go outside. A really nice touch for us.

Their pricing is very reasonable. Everything else worked really well. They did a good job!

Fair, one gate closure does not fit over post and one post on another gate has termite issues

Jeff was quick to respond and provide us with a quote. We accepted within two days and he and his crew had finished the 300' lineal feet of privacy fence within one week of acceptance. Jeff was great to work with and more than willing to acheive the details that we asked for in the fence. We could not have had a better experience. I highly recommend Glidden Fence Company and will work with them again.

They did an awesome job! Bill came out and did the quote (they were about $200 cheaper than the next bid) and when I told them to move forward they did it immediately. Fence looks awesome!

Workers nice. Very poor customer service from office. Basically handling orders and no follow up. They sent workers with advance notice on day of the work. Based upon sales team and office personnel, just very average company and service experience.

Crew was very good at their job and the fence looks great.

I called for service on 10/17 and was told by the woman who answered that she would try to get someone out here on 10/19. I received no call back and no one came to look at the fence. I didn't hear anything for a week and finally called back on 10/24. It took the woman a while before she could locate my request. I understand that it had been moved down in the "pile". She asked me to call back on 10/24 at 4 PM. I made a note on my calendar to call at that time. I missed making the call at 4, but called at 5:20 and left a voice mail. In my message I stated that my sister died in WI Wednesday and I was preparing to drive to WI on the 25th. I asked them to call me before 10 AM on the 25th. I received no call back. I left for WI at 11 AM. *I chose this company because of it's great rating. When you have an experience like this it's difficult to understand the way that they handled my small request. It would have been courteous of them to tell me that they didn't want or could not do my request. I would also be courteous to CALL ME BACK.

Everything went extremely well they were finished in 1 day.

I had the quoted in June, but did not move forward until September. At both points in time, there were some responsiveness issues. In each case, I needed to call Glidden to followup after expecting a call from them that did not happen. HOWEVER, in each case, when I did call back, they were very friendly, professional, and resolved the issue immediately. So, not a big issue for me. When the man arrived to quote the project, he was very attentive and took excellent notes. The work was done while I was at work, but when I returned, I was extremely pleased with the results. The 6' gates all open and close smoothly now. Not just "OK", but they swing and latch perfectly. The new 4' gate they built looks great. (I tried to upload a photo, but Angies List is not showing that as an option on this form.) I did have an issue of it not latching as easily as I'd hoped. If you didn't gingerly close the gate, it would bounce open. I've since called Glidden, and they're sending someone out to adjust it at no charge. Assuming this goes well, I'll update my review with the good news.

We decided we wanted to extend the fence to cover more of the yard. I emailed to get pricing and they've never got that back to me. My first pricing request was in March of 2012 and it is now September 2012. March 5th - Inquired about modifying fence layout to the gentlemen handling the original install project. March 6th - Got a reply with some questions and I answered them (never heard back) April 1st - I emailed them again since I never got a reply (never heard back) Aug 28th - I emailed the same gentlemen again, no reply Aug 29th - Email their main address, got a reply. They said I was in for pricing. (never heard back) Sept 4th - I never got a reply on pricing so I emailed them again. Email bounced saying mailbox full Sept 5th - Tried to email again, email bounced back saying mailbox full Sept 6th - Emailed it again, went through. They replied saying they will see where things are at .(never heard back) Sept 17th - I emailed yet again since I've yet to receive any pricing, no reply

They were very prompt with their quote and did not go over. They were able to install the fence and then remove the old one - this was very helpful since we have a dog! It was a very stressful time for us, as we were also being connected to city sewer and trying to coordinate work. Even when we were probably not the best customers, they were very, very professional and stayed the course with us - even though this was a small project. I will hire Gidden for any of our future fence needs. Bravo to their team!

An excellent job from start to finish. Bill was able to come out very quickly to provide an estimate; the work was started (post holes dug, posts set) just a few days after that. The fence and gate were completed just a few days later, once the posts had time to set. Quality of work and appearance are great. Granted this was a very small job (about 30' of fence in all), but it was very well done. We did NOT get other estimates for this job. Someone else might have done it for less, but they could not have done a better job overall.

Came for estimate, put up string line. After we got approval from our association on Friday, it was installed by Thursday the next week. I would definitely recommend doing business with Glidden!

Great from beginning to end. Courteous, punctual and efficient. Fences look great.

They were able to come to give us an estimate the very next day after our initial call. As we have had very bad fencing experiences at previous homes, we got three estimates before having the work done and their price was not the lowest, but was nearly there and we felt they were the most professional and responsive and worth the minor difference in cost. After a couple weather delays that were completely understandable and of no consequence, the fence was installed. It looks great and we are more than happy and would highly recommend them to anyone. This has been the best fence company we've worked with.

i am very pleased with the work and the very nice, but simple, double driveway gate. The walk-in gate is about 6 ft. wide but it looks great as well. No hassle, very professional team from the point of contact to the workers, everyone at Glidden made me feel important.

The service went very well. They did a good job and were professional. They also installed a power controlled gate. The only problem was they hit a gas line, but they ended up taking care of it. They warned me and we got out of the house and they made sure I was safe. They fixed everything, which was nice.

Glidden installed my fence in 2008 since then I have had a few problems that took them awhile to repair! At the beginning of June 2012 I contacted then to give me an estimate on fence repairs, gate adjustment ( off since install) and placing a new gate for back access after they told me the estimator would be out by the end of the week it took several more phone calls and several more weeks before am estimator showed up all of which I did not know because he did not leave an estimate or even come to the door letting me know that he had arrived! I contacted the company and Wendy informed me that we do not leave estimates in a renters door, Well first off I'm not a renter and before anyone makes comments they should have the facts! So I then waited for another week to get the estimate in which I never received until I talked with Joan who was very polite, professional and helpful apologized for the staff I stated that it was fine I would just like my fence repaired as per estimate that Joan finally sent out and I received!! On June 29th I contacted a young lady at Glidden didn't get her name but told her I was fine with the estimate and would they please set it up so I could get the fence repaired! She assured me the repairs would be started the week of July 2nd, As of July 6th no repairs, no show, no contact from Glidden, I contacted Joan on July 6th and ask her why no one had shown up and could she let me know when someone would. Joan stated I don't know why someone told you this because your not scheduled until the week of the 9th all of which I stated I was fine I would just like to be updated! July 12th I called because still no show and no call! Phone call one I was hung up on, Phone call two I was told if I didn't like the way they do business I could take mine else where! WOW all this because I ask for updates. In all I was talked down to, hung up on four (4 times) and treated very unprofessional! I was also told I cussed out and screamed at the girl that answered the phone, This same girl kept telling me she needed to talk to someone else that can make the decision to have the fence fixed A: That would be me!!! I ask her do they warrant the fences they build she raised her voice and said YES ONLY FOR A YEAR so if you don't like it go somewhere else!! OK so I am but I told her I felt that she was very rude and unprofessional and I didn't appreciate the way she was talking to me, So again I get hung up on , CAN YOU SAY WOW! Then Wendy the office manager calls me back to say You didn't pay any money up front that's why your not on the schedule Well no kidding I didn't but the contract says 25% when the work is started NO WORK was ever started, She insisted I cussed the girl on the phone but AT NO TIME DID I EVER raise my voice or cuss this girl I just wanted answers, So yet again Wendy hangs up on me, Very unprofessional and very rude! I will never do business with GLIDDEN FENCE COMPANY AGAIN!!
