BBG Construction

My husband and I were looking for a contractor to remodel 2 bathrooms and a kitchen. We met with the owner and one of their designers and were very impressed. They were suppose to get back to us winhin a couple of weeks with a quote and design ideas. We never heard from them. We followed up and still never heard from them.

We contacted BBG and Ben called us back almost immediately. We met him within the week. He took measurements and we discussed options that were available as well as some custom ideas that I wanted to include. . He said he would have an estimate back to us within a week. The week passed, then another , then 3...4...5...6. We still have not heard from him. At this point we have hired another contractor and the work will be completed within the month. Disappointed.

We stumbled upon BBG while looking for a company to design and remodel our kitchen and bathroom. We had not decided on exactly what we wanted to do but knew we wanted an open kitchen concept where we could entertain and enjoy family activities. We met with three companies. BBG came to the table with creative design ideas, a solid plan of execution, and superior estimate. We were extremely nervous this being our first major renovation project especially having heard of so many horror stories about incomplete work and incompetent workers. That was quickly laid to rest as BBG began demolition. Ben laid down a projected completion timeline of 6-8 weeks and I am proud to say we were back in the kitchen and bathroom 6 weeks later. Every week we would receive a schedule and every week they were right on task. Joe, our project manager kept everything moving and made sure all inconveniences were kept to a minimal, not easy to do in a normally chaotic house. Finishing on schedule and to budget were obviously important to us, what we did not expect was the respect we were shown throughout the process, the creativity that went into providing us with the perfect space, and the comradery that we felt with BBG. Huge thanks to Ben, Joe and, Graham!

It went very smoothly. His contractors were very friendly, honest and did worked according to my needs and wants. He was very responsive and easy to work with.

Like all good-sized construction projects, they sometimes go over budget and over schedule. Anyone who has ever been involved in one knows this; but Ben was able to mitigate all that, and keep us informed every step of the way. I was never "in the dark" on progress issues, and he always answered my calls (or returned them within minutes). The end result is a much more beautiful and functional home. I wouldn't use anyone but the Black Bull Group (and ask anyone who knows me...I am a very tough judge.) Another point that homeowners probably neglect to consider when they are searching for a remodeling contractor is his trustworthiness; not only in business dealings, but being in your home when you aren't there. I would trust Ben and his team with all aspects of my home, for I know his character. Additionally, he was so good with my dogs, and made sure to let them out, fill their water bowls, and even feed them if he was in the house and I wasn't home to handle those tasks.

Ben was very professional with great ideas for the remodeling of our master bathroom during the initial visit. The problem came when he never sent us a quote. We still have not heard back from him.

We first contacted Ben Davis in the fall of 2010 seeking an estimate for finishing our basement. While we felt Mr. Davis was professional and that his estimate was reasonable, we decided not to move forward with the project for personal reasons.In May 2012, we again sought estimates for finishing our basement and called Mr. Davis due to the previous positive interaction. He again provided us with a reasonable quote, was professional, and provided a detail outline of the project plan/timeline. We moved forward with the project.Black Bull Group started work promptly and were on time or ahead of schedule throughout the project. There were a few minor issues with the quality of work - a light switch wired to our cable (causing the cable to be out for a week), a light that was not installed properly, etc. However, each time we brought a concern to Ben's attention, it was addressed promptly and fixed quickly. The project was finished on time and for the amount of the estimate. We are very pleased with the quality of the basement and bathroom that was installed. We found Ben to be personable, professional and easy to work with and we would certainly hire him again for home construction projects.

This second visit went fine as I would expect. I hope everything aligns that we can start and complete this project this summertime.

On his initial visit to our home, Ben was prompt, professional, and listened to our expectations of finishing our unfinished basement. We are looking forward to our appointment next week when he shares his floor plan and estimate.

Currently everything is going very well. Ben Davis was very responsive and called back. When ever he said he was going to do something it got done. So far he is right on schedule with his timeliness. I haven't heard about any price overruns except for things that I have requested. His contractors so far are timely, neat and courteous. They are protecting my existing floors and areas. They clean up after themselves.
