For the life of me, I dont know how this company has such a high rating. Mr. Ashpaugh made a very poor first impression with his unkempt appearance and missing teeth. More importantly, he did not seem to know about or offer us halogen lighting for under the kitchen cabinets. Instead, he told us we ONLY had a choice between canned lighting or florescent, and couldnt have a dimmer switch. As we discussed logistics of job, it appeared that we, as the customer had to be the ones coming up with all the solutions. As the professional, it is my expectation that he would have all the answers. Also thought the estimate of $2000 was way out of line for installing additional lighting in a kitchen.

Easy to schedule, came when they said they would, knowledgeable service person.

They were there on time, I was late, but they were very gracious about it. They finished the job quickly and professionally.

They did a great job. Ashpaugh responded within 24 hours of calling them. The technician was very personable and helpful. I will use them again.

Technician did the work requested and commented that fitted breakers were oversize for the wire gauge used and therefore should be replaced. I agreed to have them replaced. Job was requested one day and completed the next.

I was amazed that I could get an electrician from Ashpaugh the day after I called for an appointment! Although I didnt like the fact that I couldnt get an estimate. I was given a window of 8:00-12:00 that an electrician would be here to address 6 lights that were being changed or repaired. I had asked yesterday if I could get a more narrow window this morning. I was told theyd call before they came. I waited 3 hours and 20 minutes, then got a call to say they were running behind and that someone would be here at 12:30. I had already given my entire morning and couldnt afford to give my afternoon as well (6 light problems would not be a quick fix). The people were very polite and apologetic, but I was disappointed that I couldnt have gotten a call much sooner than that. I wondered if there would be any compensation offered for my time and wait, if so, I might have considered still using them, but since there was none, Im trying another electric company.

They did a good job. I considered the price as being appropriate as he worked all day, with no lag. Everything was done very neatly and when he was done he cleaned up after himself.

Electrician was punctual, courteous and knowledgeable. Although we are new customers, we received service within a few days of calling for the first time. We will definitely use this company again.

Very helpful. I called Ashpaugh and one of their competitors, and their competitor claimed it was a plumber's domain, and wouldn't touch the thermostats nor heating elements. Ashpaugh had no problem with it, and came out and fixed the problem. For future water heater problems, I think I'll take the initiative to drain the unit first. Ashpaugh had to leave and come back, and the water heater still wasn't completely drained. I was pleased with this company.

There was some difficulty in the installation however, after some work, they were able to make it work for me.

They came out, found what the problem was and got right to fixing it. They were overall very professional and wanted to solve the problem.

The electrical team came within Hours of our call. They worked us into the schedule as quickly as they could. The entire circuit box had to be replaced, but the job was done by mid-afternoon. We were very pleased with the speed and quality of the repair job!

Responded quickly to do an estimate. Scheduled the work promptly. Made various suggestions to improve the lighting and electrical service. Worked hard, pleasant - excellent job all around.

The electrician arrived on time and was polite and professional in his work. He clearly knew what he was doing and did it swiftly and well. In addition, Ashpaugh Electric has several electricians on staff and they were able to schedule this work within 2 days of my placing the order. The whole experience was a good one.

Initially, electrician couldnt do job, and took ballast to find a replacement. When nobody returned after 6 weeks, we had to find our own replacement, and called Ashpaugh to come install it. They couldnt get the replacement to work either, but since they took the original ballast (and subsequently lost it), we couldnt get the replacement part number. Another few weeks of non-action ensued, but when I wrote a scathing letter to the owner, Brian Ashpaugh responded and got the job done immediately. It required him calling the manufacturer in NY to get wiring directions. It took a long time to get the job done, but they did finally remedy the problem. So far they havent billed me.

The price was well worth the task. They were courteous and polite. They also checked for us two lights on another part of the house that happen to malfunction the night before. They gave us a diagnosis on the problem and now we know how to proceed ourselves in order to fix it. Coupon gave us an additional $20 off. Constructively, I had to follow up 2 days after their visit to quote the job and ask for the price to complete the task. Otherwise a truly positive experience.

They are going to come back and do more work in the spring. They did a great job.

Electrician arrived early which was welcomed. Walked electrician through all items; said to holler for me if he needed anything. We opened and prepped all light fixtures for electrician. We felt he spent more time than necessary to determine the mantel couldnt be fixed without a hole in the ceiling. We were really surprised at how long it took to hang light fixtures. We asked up front how long to install and were told 20-30 minutes per fixture. He was at our house for 5 hours (our basement fixture was not installed flush to ceiling - felt we should have been told upfront as we would not have installed it and now have to take it down ourselves). We asked several times if everything was okay as it was taking quite a bit of time; everything was fine. We paid our bill and phoned to let them know how we felt; they said they would pass it on. The c for quality is due to time it took to perform (and the basement fixture, others are fine).
