We highly recommend Brian, Dudley, and Micah at Ashpaugh Electric, Inc. The entire process for this project was easy, smooth, and painless. We contacted Ashpaugh Electric via Angie's List on Wednesday. Brian responded the same day asking for photos of where the work would be done. We provided the photos on Thursday and had a quote for the work by the end of the day. On Friday, we accepted his quote and Brian was able to get fit us in his schedule for Monday morning. On Monday, Dudley and Micah arrived first thing in the morning. They were both professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. The work was completed in under 90 minutes. Within an hour of there departure, Brian followed up with an email of the completed work and wanted to ensure all went well. Several items of note I would like to point out: - We prefer transacting over the internet. Brian made this easy for us by doing all the leg work (asking for pictures and such) to provide us with a free quote. The other companies that wanted this project wanted to schedule "estimate" visits for a minor fee ($40-$60) and would only wave the fee if we committed to hiring them. Why pay for them to estimate a simple project when all they would need are photos of the work site? - Dudley and Micah were both personable, easy to get along with, and professional in both in their manners and work. They did an excellent job and did not leave any mess behind.

Service call was great and so was the electrician; Greg. He was on time, courteous and clearly explained how he would go about finding what was wrong. Once he found the problem; he was very clear in what he would do to fix it and the rates. He also showed great respect by wearing booties in the house; which is a must for any contractor that we hire. Definitely will call Ashpaugh again; and hopefully will get Greg to do the work.

They were very professional. Came out to inspect the current fan and see what it was possible to replace it with. Gave me options and associated costs. Chose an option and they were back with the part and did the replacement the next week.

I had some pendant lights to install in my kitchen. They are not meant to be indoor lights so it was complicated and they are really heavy and bulky. Micah and Brian did a great job, from the estimate to cleanup. The lights look great. Thanks!

Dudley was great! Fast, friendly and professional. I use Ashpaugh for all my electrical projects and repairs because I trust their knowledge, experience and honesty.

Dudley arrived promptly for our scheduled appointment and thoroughly diagnosed the issue. Although we elected not to proceed with a costly fix which would have required cutting into the drywall, he pursued all avenues of repair and informed us each step along the way. Ashpaugh remains our go-to provider for all things electrical. This is the 3rd time we've used them, and they are always easy to schedule appointments with, show up on time, and are extremely professional and courteous.

My switch was not turning garage lights on or off although all other items on the circuit were working. The switch was good, so I worried their might be bigger issues. Collin and Micah arrived promptly at the time indicated and quickly assessed the problem and found it to be an unused and out of the way switch that had been turned off and some loose connections. After they fixed that problem, they agreed to give an estimate on pulling wire to the garage for additional outlets. Although I had to pay for their time, which I expected, they indicated that if I accepted the bid/estimate for the work that charge would be deducted from the job they were estimating. Micah and Collin were easy to work with, considerate of our property, and communicated well. I will use them again.

Micah was excellent! I bought a one hour package through Angie's list because the power on an entire circuit went out, and I didn't know how to fix it. Micah came out very quickly. He fixed the problem quickly and explained what happened and why. He answered all of my questions and was very friendly. Since there was still plenty of time in my hour, he checked on a few other issues for me and inspected our electrical panel, tightening everything up. Micah was fabulous. I wont hesitate to recommend him to others or call if I need help again.

Another wonderful experience with Ashpaugh, this time with Dudley. We were given a 30 min arrival window and he arrived promptly. As with our previous visit, we were grateful for a short arrival window time, and for the call beforehand as well as timely arrival. Dudley was knowledgeable and able to meet all of our needs (adding an outlet, changing light fixtures and checking wiring). We will continue to use Ashpaugh for our future electrical needs.

This was our first time using Ashpaugh Electric. Scheduling was easy and we got an appointment quickly. Our electrician, Dudley, was on time, friendly, and quick to diagnose the issue with our ceiling fan. He explained the problem to me and recommended we get a new one. We will certainly call Ashpaugh again when we are ready to have it installed.

We called Ashpaugh Electric immediately when we were told by a Groves Appliance Serviceman that there was an electrical issue between our meter panel and the outlet servicing our dryer. (We had Groves come out to check out an electrical smell that we thought was coming from the dryer). We had used Ashpaugh before and they have always been prompt, thorough and professional. In similar fashion, Dudley, the electrician we have come to know, troubleshooted the problem, repaired the receptacle and replaced the dryer cord which his associate, Collin, went to get at the local Home Depot. In approximately one hour, they fixed a problem that, if Groves had not told us to flip the circuit breaker, could have caused a house fire. For us, Ashpaugh Electric is the only phone number we need for our electrical needs.

Excellent. Two electricians arrived on time. Worked quickly to swap out detecters. They seem functional. We’re in and out in about an hour. Correctly applied discount. I this is my go—to electric company.

Steve was great. He arrived on time and diagnosed and fixed all switches in a timely manner. He also explained to me, in layman's terms, what the exact problem with the switches were.

We were able to schedule next day service. Dudley, our service guy, was top notch. He diagnosed and explained the issue clearly, promptly made the repairs, and made sure all was working properly before leaving. Excellent service and customer relations start to finish.

As always, Dudley did a great job for us. He has become our "family electrician"!

It went very well. Micah was able to quickly diagnose the faulty install that caused the wires to overheat and melt the connections. Monte stopped by to help force bit until Monte came to help rewire across the house down to the breaker box. The install was very professional and looks better than before. The men were kind, friendly, and knowledgeable.

Dudley and Steve were on time and on the money. Took care of everything on the list, exercised some creativity, and made it look good. Very satisfied with the service. Have used them for 30 years in a house I've occupied for 35.

Wonderful!!! Dave arranged for Duke Energy to install new transformer on pole at road and run underground wiring to the all new electrical boxes for electric to house and three pole barns. Installed new dusk to dawn light on 1 building and 1 small light at entrance door in addition to wiring in attic. Updated wiring out to dog and rabbit kennel and brought pump wiring in basement up to code. Steve and his helper (don't know his name) were both a pleasure to have here and were willing to listen to what was wanted and we were very pleased with the end result.

Great, prompt service. Needed electrical run through kitchen ceiling to install a range hood over the island. Steve was able to do so without a trace, and at a reasonable price point.

My electrician, Micah, was great. It was a big job and a lot of work. He was very thorough in explaining the cost, which was reasonable. He took his time and everything was completed to my satisfaction.

Dudley, Evan, and Tyler were punctual and professional. Dudley led the group and knew the challenges he had to face with an old house. He and his guys handled the difficulties skillfully, creatively, and with humor. Dudley always told me directly what the problem was and how he intended to address it. He communicated well and it allowed me to understand what was happening and why. The final product exceeded our expectations. We will definitely have Ashpaugh back for any future work.

We couldn't have been happier with the work Dudley and Tyler did! I had purchased recessed light cans, trims, and dimmer switches to install myself but then threw out my back, so was in a bind. Because of this deal, I was able to have them remove a ceiling fan and bar light and install five can lights and trims in our kitchen. They then replaced a breaker and tightened up our breaker box. They also helped us think through adding additional can lights in another tricky space. They were punctual, patient with our 1970's wiring, and kept us updated through the process. I had purchased the wrong dimmer switches and they had some on the truck they were able to sell us so as not to bring the work to a halt. The cost of the deal and the materials used in the project, dimmer switches, and breaker is reflected below. They were thoughtful, detail oriented, and professional. I would used the again. As an aside, we were warned ahead of time by our interior decorator that electricians will not patch the holes left from the removal of lighting fixtures and I was able to patch the two holes that day. Just be aware that may be something you will need to do or hire out if you tackle the same type of project. Just ask Ashpaugh and I am sure they could refer you to a who they use for drywall work.

Dudley was our electrician. He was friendly and explained what he needed to do to install the new ceiling fan. He got to work and within the hour, the new ceiling fan was up, the old fan was out of the house, and Dudley cleaned up after himself. The whole experience was positive. We will be singing Dudley's praises and will be referring Ashpaugh to all of our friends. Yes, we will be using Ashpaugh Electric for our electrical needs.
