Although regrouting is not Bath Options's primary business (bathtub refinishing and acrylic lining of bathtubs is the main business), Mr. Beeler assured me that Bath Options had done regrouting before. The man he sent 12/28/2010 (to take out the old grout and regrout) chipped the enamel off of the bathtub in several places. I also think he scratched and chipped one of the pieces of tile, though he disputes that. The new grout that was used is "sanded" grout, unlike the rest of the original grouting, which is smooth grout. The next day (12/29/2010) Mr. Beeler sanded the newly grouted area down and cleaned off the tiles, which did make the grouting look better. He also painted over the black chipped areas of the tub with a white paint that was much too white for the color of the bathtub. He charged $35.00 over what he had estimated it would cost but did not charge me for the two hours he (Mr. Beeler) worked on the job on 12/29. Update: A few months after the regrouting was done, the grout under the shower started washing out. We had to hire someone else to regrout the entire area.
Description of Work: Removed old grout around 4 rows of ceramic tiles and between ceramic tiles and bathtub and regrouted same.
