Description of Work: I called on July 25th to inquire about some remodeling/construction to our basement. I left a message asking that they call back to discuss details and providing a quote.

Description of Work: The project was started much later than my expectations, but once started, they completed it in short order. The workers were punctual and diligent, and worked independent of supervision. I had expected that John would show up and personally ensure that things were going well. There were some complications and they worked out a solution over the phone. I was not informed and therefore could not stop the process that resulted in an end product that was less than acceptable to me. The final product is functional but only 90% satisfaction on my part. I would definitely say that they do quality work, my only dissatisfaction is with the supervising/client involvement/problem resolution aspects.

Description of Work: I contacted Mr. Schumann, he was punctual, I asked about doing something with the front yard as I felt it didn't have curb appeal. He ask if the house was for sale. I said no, but I want it to look nice. He observed the neighborhood and said none of the houses have curb appeal. He ask for a copy of the lot size, could get it from the abstract and hoped one copy would showed the house on the lot. He didn't charge me for the service. however, I would have paid me. I found the lot size, however no house on it. I have the original National Homes blueprint for the house. I'm sorry, I haven't gotten back with him. I'm a caregiver demenita husband following opem heart surgery. Our house was remodeled and the PU hort students did a landscape plan for us. The sunny yard is now very shady so different plants are needed.I do appreciate your services. I will use it again. Barbara Brook

Description of Work: I received a bid from Schumann on some remodeling of the lower level of my house and the stairway that leads to it from the main level. He listened to my concerns and thoughts and responded with several good ideas. We discussed the ideas and then he came up with a plan. I have not gotten any work done yet but John is easy to work with and knows his business. |I also need a new roof and I want to go with a steel roof. John worked with a local contractor and arranged for a bid. They were very prompt with the bid. I am still working on getting a couple more bids fom other roofers for comparison but so far John Schumann's bid is looking like the best option. I have not had any work done yet by Schumman.

Description of Work: General contracting work: Rebuilt basement staircase, fixed plumbing issues, tiled bathroom, installed new lighting throughout house. The whole crew was punctual, competent, and overall good workers. The job was well done, and I would definitely hire them again.

Description of Work: Landscaping. Schumann made a sculpted paved walkway from the driveway to the door, and he set up a landscaping plan for our entire house.
