Car-X Auto Service

We love CarX, they are honest and always try to get us in as soon as possible. They have kept performing well with over a hundred thousand miles.

We made the trip with absolutely no problems because Car-X found and repaired minor problems; topped off all fluids; changed the oil; inspected the tires and brakes and made a general inspection of the vehicle including the cabin. I'm delighted! I love 'em !

Having been taken advantage of by a retail auto dealer, with commission-paid service people who replace unnecessary items which they claim are defective, but are not..., my wife and I were subjected to unnecessary charges. This happened to me (husband) as well, having been told that I needed new U-joints..... a short 3-4 months after I had already paid to have new U-joints installed by them. Upon complaining to a counter-service person, at the auto-dealer, about the extremely high cost of a "suggested" total muffler-system replacement (letting my opinion clearly be negative...) he turned to me and told me... "Take it to Car-X. They will install a muffler every bit as good at far less, and give you a lifetime warranty on it as well. We no longer visit the auto-dealer. All vehicles in our family will be serviced/repaired by Car-X.

Aside from actual physical services professionally provided, I want to comment on another aspect of Car-X services. I'm 78+ years old. At age 15 I bought my first car and talked to my first "Dealer" (salesman...) about the purchase and maintenance. The salesman was all smiles. Their service people were quite different and to the contrary. With a multitude of subsequent auto-purchases over the years, new and used and across many states, that pattern of behavior continued to be the norm at auto dealers. In contrast to that treatment, at Car-X we have continually experienced positive attitudes; cordial, smiling greetings, transparency in all dealings width them; completely acceptable pricing systems and policies, and guarantees/warranties which dealers simply do not and will not offer. I don't know how many different vehicles my wife and I may have in the future, but I do know, with certainty, that when a dealer's warranty runs out, Car-X will be given 100% service and repair responsibilities. Having headed my own corporation for many years before retiring, I've learned how TO and how NOT TO treat customers. My standards of 'treatment' and those of Car-X are a perfect match, and they - not dealers - will continue to fulfill my service requests, and receive my payments in return for their positive motivation, professionalism, friendly attitudes and little acts of kindness.... ...which both my wife and I truly appreciate....

The only thing good was the lesson it taught my son about honesty or in this case dishonesty. The thing is I spent a good part of my life as a mechanic. My son asked me to come into their sales office with the news they wanted and an additional $75 just to inspect the prior repairs. It only took about a minute of listening to his BS to come to the decision he was full of it. Buyer beware. On the other hand Mr. and Mrs. Tire down the street took care of the car without the additional BS.
