Description of Work: I have an ongoing service contract. They will come out if you have a service contract with them, they will do preventative maintenance for your system and they'll check it to see if any problems occur and they will give you a little bit of discount for that. I'm paying them a little bit of money to periodically come out and do that kind of stuff.

 + -1 moreDana was a great sales rep and was very thorough in explaining the process and answering our questions. Since we had boiler heat in the house, it was a lot of work to run the ducts through the two floors of our house. The staff was very nice and when we had a few issues with our floors, the staff at Gibson's was quick to fix it. We would use them again!

 + -1 moreThey were to plumb the kitchen two baths and the laundry room.They sent a different Guy every day who didn't know what the last Guy did. The work was slow and substandard. The sink pipes came apart several times, the laundry water comes up I'm the kitchen sink and the bathroom sink.The tub drains slow. The water stinks Something isn't right.

 + -1 moreAfter obtaining other quotes, I became aware that Gibson was too expensive for my budget. Work was not performed. I was, however, impressed with the professionalism and promptness shown. Having to pay for their bid to acquire a job was not impressive, though.

 + -1 moreWe had water coming from the central air unit on the second level of our house. They said that the condensing coil collection pan had a leak, he said there was nothing he could do to replace it, said we should get a new central air system for $5400, and charged us $79.00 and left. I called another HVAC company. They came out on Monday, replaced the plastic coil pan and it was fixed for $75. I had used Gibson in the past and they were great. This experience however was horrible. Watch out!
Description of Work: Water was coming from t he second level air conditioning unit causing wet carpet in adjoining room.

Description of Work: Upon arrival at our seasonal/weekend residence, we found the temperature in the house to be quite cool. I reset the thermostat for the furnace to come on but, it didn't come on and run like it normally does. I then contacted Gibson's Heating & Plumbing about an apparent problem with our furnace. I received a phone call from a technician within 5 minutes after speaking with their call center representative. The technician (Jason M.) asked me to describe the furnace issue to him. Following a short conversation he said he would come to the house to check on the issue and complete a diagnostic test if needed. Jason arrived within 30 minutes and after removing two panels from the furnace, quickly saw what he believed was the problem. A small hose for one of the drains in the high efficient furnace was not attached where it was supposed to be attached and the condensation within the furnace would not drain properly. Jason stated that it did not appear that the hose had come off by itself. It appeared to him that it had not been replaced properly the last time the furnace had been serviced, which was in late August 2012. Jason re-attached the hose - with a clamp - and I believe he also completed a brief check of the other systems on the furnace. When he restarted the furnace a few minutes later everything worked and sounded like it should. The furnace was working properly, the heat was on and the house warmed up soon thereafter. Jason was professional, courteous and did a GREAT job on a Saturday afternoon! I/we couldn't have asked or hoped for anything better.

drain cleaning
 + -1 moreMark H. from Gibson's did a very thorough job. He was also extremely personable, informative, and helpful in answering all of my questions. I will use them again. ,My ONLY beef is cost related (of course!). I wish the job could have been done without having to upgrade to different cutters, B/c each upgrade added an add'l cost to the bill. I do understand, however, that the technician has to approach drain clearing like this for safety reasons. I Just think there s/b one flat price for all of it. The price started at 158.00, but ended up at (w/ my initialed approval) at 354.00 b/c of the add'l cutters as well as the camera diagnostic. Other than that, I was really happy with my experience with Gibson's tech Mark H. He did an excellent job and represented his company stellar-ly.
Description of Work: Mark from Gibson's augered out our house's plugged sewer line using the outdoor access and also ran diagnostic test to see/show me what the problem was on the portable computer monitor.

 + 0 moreAWESOME!!!! Not only was it a professional service call but the office personel and Mark were kind, understanding and honest. No short cuts here!! The work was done in a professional and proper way. Mark kept us informed on the job status and any changes during the process. No surprises about the job or the costs. He left us with a clean bath and kitchen and also the confidence that all the service was the best and covered under their service and warranty policy.
Description of Work: The Service Tech Mark did a total rebuild under my 1954 original kitchen sink. Had to replace galvinized pipes, install water shut offs (which were never installed when home was built), sweat copper lines for shut off install etc.He installed a new Kohler sink and faucet and then replaced my original 1954 American Standard (pink) toilet with a new Comfort Height Gerber elongated toilet.

 + 0 moreThe heating system has three zones and the pump system is quite complicated. The initial system worked but had some logic errors in the plumbing such that more than one zone received heat when only one zone called for heat. I explained the problem to the service manager, Gibsons removed their previous work and reinstalled the new plumbing and pumps to my specifications at no additional charge. Gibsons is not the cheapest plumbing and HVAC contractor in the area, but they certainly are the best. I have worked with several repair/contractors for heating, cooling and plumbing. Gibsons always outperforms the competition. Their technicians are knowledgable, friendly and prompt. They always leave the repair area cleaner than they found it.
Description of Work: Gibsons modified an existing hot water heating system when I put an addition onto my house.

Also, checked on an electric heater upstairs that has not worked since we have lived here (5 years). This was done on his own, we did not ask for it to be checked. He offered to get prices on fixing the heater, and called a few days later with price quote. Told us that the price to fix the heater was too much, and that we could do it much cheaper on our own! This is the kind of honesty that keeps us coming back to Gibsons. Their service people are polite, personable and always professional.

 + -1 moreIt was great!1 I did not know how they would work, I have had bad experience with contractors before. This group was totaly different. The installers were very professional ! they performed quality work and was very neat and clean at all times. The projet took 3 days to finnish and each evening they cleaned everything up before they left, they showed up on time and 1/2 the time you didn't even know that they were here.

 + 0 moreEstimate was for entire job. Not priced individually, but all items done were included in price quote. Work was done as scheduled with Sean staying longer to finish in one day. Care was taken to assure water was back on by the time I got home from work. Job site was kept as clean as possible and drop cloths were used wherever necessary. One area was not supposed to be included, but was broken, so had to be done anyway. No extra charge! Time was taken when job was finished to explain everything that was done and to show all new shut-offs and how to maintain new high efficiency water heater. Lifetime warranty on workmanship.
