Description of Work: They installed an above ground pool, but installed the pump in backwards causing the water to flush into the pool like a toilet. It took several weeks and hundreds of dollars before it was figured out. This company did nothing to try and fix the issue!

We chose this company to build our pool because we thought they were friendly when we visited their store. We thought the price of the pool we wanted was reasonable and it included installation and warranty. When they came out to install the pool, we specified that we wanted it no closer than 5 feet from our house. They installed it 41/2 feet, completely ignoring our request. It messed up our patio/deck plans completely. They didn't pack down the sand underneath the liner of the pool so there are deep footprints from the installers and ridges on the bottom of the pool (making it difficult to vacuum). When they were finished installing, the uprights were not plumb. They were about 1/2 " to 3/4" out of plumb around the pool. So the pool is not level. It is almost 2 inches higher on one side than it is the other. The seam that was suppose to be covered by one of the uprights was not covered. Funny because the manufacturing label glued on the pool right next to the seam stated that the seam needed to be centered and covered by the upright! The filter motor is suppose to be installed 10 feet from the pool "to reduce the risk of electrical shock" (states on the nameplate of the motor, visible to anybody), but it was installed 3 feet from the pool and we weren't aware of this safety hazard until we read it on the motor, unfortunately a day or so later. Come to find out, the pool company didn't know either when we brought it to their attention! Shocker! We paid all $3300 for this pool except $103, holding back that small amount to ensure that our issues would be addressed. First they said they would not do anything until fall. Then they said they would come out and drain the pool (all but 5") in a couple of days but that we would have to pay to have it refilled again, which is alot of cost for something that wasn't our fault. Oh yeah, and we had to drive an hour to Bloomington to get our ladder because they brought us a box that contained a piece of a ladder (that goes on the outside of the pool) but no bolts, no platform, no inside ladder steps! No way to get in or out of this pool. We could have waited a week for them to bring the whole ladder, I will admit. Geeezzz. They were to busy to accomodate...in the meantime we had a pool we couldn't use! We were treated like a pain in the butt to them and they certainly showed how much disdain they had for us because we dared to bring these issues to their attention, they have now sent us two "pink" letters threatening legal action against us if we didn't pay $103 immediately! Two threatening letters within less than 3 weeks of having this pool installed!!! A job incomplete as far as we're concerned. If that's your idea of good, caring, and professional service, I say hire them! If it's not, skip these people and find somebody else to install your pool! By the way, we will be paying the $103 tomorrow plus $10.30 interest to add insult to injury!
