Installation went well, They were punctual. Installed as promised. Then the boiler leaked. Called them back three times. Finally fixed the leaks myself. Then after two years the circulating pump died. Replaced it myself as it it was out of warranty. In the process of replacing the pump, I found that they used black gas pipe instead of galvanized pipe for the water line! What else will I discover?
Description of Work: Replaced a home heating boiler.

Excellent! They arrived on time after calling first to let me know they were coming at the previously set appt time. They were professional, thorough, very knowledgeable and efficient. They used a high quality replacement filter--one of those big pleated ones. They cleaned up the work area and the whole process took less than an hour. I have used this company for over 20 years--they installed the original Geo HVAC in '92 (when it was just Quine Heating and A/C) They are honest, thorough, reliable, reasonably priced, experienced and very professional. They stand behind their work and their products/replacement parts, etc.They constantly walk the extra mile for their customers!
Description of Work: Complete inspection and maintenance check on a geothermal HVAC (open loop). Replace filter.

to nyWill not process warranty claims even though required the dealer process the claim. In April 2010 I discovered that the new hot water heater than Quine-Freeman has installed the previous year (hundreds of dollars of damage then). had a defective pressure release valve. Checking the invoice and warranty information it was covered by their warrrnaty and workmanship. I called Quine Freeman and explained it was the pressure relief valve and I needed service and the valve was a covered item on the warranty. I was informed that the warranty was with the manufacturer not quine and they no longer honored the labor warranties as they were under new management. So I called the manufacturer and was informed that the warranty was value but it had to be processed through the Professional who did the installation. So called Quine Freeman and was told again that they did not process warranty claims for any of the products they install the customer has to file the claim, and after explaining the manufacture position was told I had to file the claim. So after more than a dozen phone calls back to the manufacturer and back to Quine Freeman I went and bought my own pressure relief valve and installed it myself as they refused to come out and I could only go so long without hot water in the house. I continued calling manufacture and quine for the next two weeks and then gave up. Quine Freeman is not a company I would ever recommend and just feel sorry for anyone who has ever had dealings with them. All of the Heating, Air conditioning and water heating equipment was installed by them but they will not process any warranty and will not come on a service call after you guarantee you will pay for the parts and labor. Spend thousands on your heating and air conditioning and then discover they dealer refuses their part in the Warranty process when something under the warranty fails and requires the installer to file the claim with manufacture.
Description of Work: New Furnace was installed shortly before I bought the house, Quine stickers where on the Furance, Air conditioning, and Hot Water heater and warranty books provided by first owner. Hot water heater began leaking so I contacted Quine to replace it as it was beyong the warranty on the hot water heater so I engaged them to install their finest hot water heater. Water leaks and many service calls to stop the leaks from their installation and hundred of dollars of property damage when it was discovered they hadn't connected everything up correctly (claim paid by their insurance company). 11 months laters the hot water heater stopped due to a defective valve and called to have them repair it knowing I would be paying the labor as only the part was covered by the warranty. But they refused.

Drained hot water through hose into the yard and killed grass from the hot water, damaged washer moving it to get to water heater. Water leaks as they didn't connect heater to water lines correctly. Repaired that and then when we used the washer discovered they hadn't reconnected drain lines moved in removing and installing the water heater and flooded house with hundred of dollars worth of damage to the house and contents. 4 months and still dealing with insurance companies to recover damages.
Description of Work: Replace the water heater.

Well, this was his second visit in 3 years. He initially installed the 3/4" CSST which needed to be 1" for a tank less water heater I was about to install. I had smelled gas outside from time to time but disregarded it as a meter vent. Both times I assisted him. I was preparing for his appointment and had all the supplies except the CSST. While outside I found my gas smell of the past 3 years, the 3/4" union to the meter was leaking he had installed three years earlier. He came short on wrenches and cut the CSST with a hacksaw and put on the new compression fittings and finished hooking me back up. Over the next three days we had a strong gas smell in the house and our gas alarm went crazy to the point of running the batteries down twice. We put it outside to silence it. Finally, while at work my wife called and I suggested having the fire department check things out with their sniffer. That's when she was forced out of the house by the fire chief and the public service was called and they locked my gas meter out for three days. Very embarrassing. I was told that the CSST should only be cut with a special tool or a four wheel pipe cutter, but never with a hacksaw, and the compression fittings would have to be replaced. I called Quine emergency # and was told they couldn't respond until Monday. Dave Kistler came again and said I shouldn't have contacted the fire department or public service, but he would pay my $40.00 gas turn on fee. He came without a pipe cutter (used mine and my pipe wrench, all he had was channel locks). I picked up a compression fitting through his account at a local plumbers supply house, otherwise he would have re-used the leaking one. Need I say more? I will never use this guy (Quine) again. I don't want anyone to get hurt; we were very lucky. I have the hacksawed leaking piece of CSST as a memento.
Description of Work: Replaced 24' 3/4 CSST (Track) natural gas line 24' X 1" CSST (Track) gas line.
