Ginter Electric, located in Warsaw, lacks this professional capability, and mostly lacks integrity. In November 2008, we had a geothermal unit installed in our home by Ginter. Being my first mistake, we did very little homework on them as a qualified geothermal installer. Being a familiar name in our house, as our families had been ?friends? for years; we trusted we would get knowledgeable, honest, trustworthy service. What we actually got was absolutely no customer service, no warranty on their workmanship, and a very off-putting attitude to go with it. After the end of the first winter, we were already questioning them on the unit. After all, we had just, a few months prior, wrote a roughly $12,000 check to them to have an energy efficient heating/cooling machine installed in our home, but yet we were receiving $500+ electric bills. Mind you, we have a 1300 square foot home. This was equating to more money monthly to heat our home then it would have been with propane, and to top it off, the warmest we could get our house to heat in the dead of winter was about 60-65 degrees, and it usually wouldn?t ?keep up? to that temperature (and it ran constantly). Ginters response was minimal. And so it began... They would send a technician; do something unproductive in actually resolving any issues, we would receive a bill for labor. Yet the geothermal still does not keep up to the temperature the thermostat is set at, and we still have excessive heating costs (Jan-Feb had bills of upwards of $600). We were not opposed to paying for labor, however, I do feel like since the problem has existed from the very beginning that they should have backed their workmanship, but that?s my fault for not looking into a company that actually has good customer rapport (and back to my first sentence, integrity). One last ditch effort to obtain any kind of customer service from Ginter, was a conversation with the owner, and his first sentence to me, and I quote, ?I have washed my hands of you guys.? So, we are at the point now, even though the unit is technically under warranty until November, we are just going to have to cut our losses and move on. But I dont want any one else to have to fall victim to their unpfrofessionalism and lack of customer service.
