46Spoke with Brandon, asked and was told company was insured and bonded. Specifically told him I had bad experiences in the past with contractors and was assured he was, in his words "OCD" about his workmanship and if I had any issues at all he would be on top of making them right. Met to choose roofing materials and get estimate. I was told the job could start on a particular day. Was a few days late, not a huge issue to us. Was told there would be a full crew and job would take one/two days. There was an emergency with a crew member and apparently they had other work going, so we only had a partial crew and the work took about a week. Again, not a huge issue, things happen. But then over Thanksgiving weekend it rained and the roof leaked. Badly. Right into the furnace, so waterlogged it couldn't be used. Several calls and texts (he only answered one call, all the rest went to voicemail) over two days. He was out of town for a week, would look into it when he returned. I explained the situation, told him the home would be ruined by then. He texted he didn't understand why we had this problem since he had done 85 homes that year and all went flawlessly. Told him we were the unlucky one's then and please fix the leak. More texts back and forth over two days (of solid rain). Finally begged him to just give us the number of one of his crew who could help us before the furnace or roof was ruined. Brandon must have contacted a crew member because Matt called asking what was going on. He did come the next day and repaired the leaking part of the roof (alone). Was supposed to get with Brandon and contact us about inside repairs to drywall and furnace. No one ever got back to us so we called someone else to make the repairs and service the furnace. So far there have been no more leaks. I do understand sometimes errors are made but I took him at his word he would oversee the job and make sure it was done properly. I realize a holiday weekend is the worst time to have a problem, but we didn't choose to have a leak in a brand new rooftop! To tell a customer to just deal with a leak which was bad enough to do damage and ruin your furnace is crazy. And the fact that I was never contacted by the owner of the company after this fiasco to make sure there were no other issues is unforgivable.
