AWC agreed to install two windows in my home. It has been 12 weeks, and I still do not have the new windows installed. Twelve weeks ago on July 3rd of this year, I paid $400 down on a quote of $924 to have 2 windows installed. Initially, AWC advised the process would take approximately 3 weeks. Missy Kahre, the office manager, stated that it typically takes 2 weeks, but they say 3 so customers won't get angry. After 4 weeks (8/3/2017) I contacted AWC to find out the status of my windows, and was told they had been ordered but were not completed by the manufacturer. After another 2 weeks I was told by Missy Kahre that the windows are a special size and take extra time to be built, but they should be done soon. I requested the name and phone number of the manufacturer so I could verify directly from them when the windows were ordered and manufactured. Alsides out of Evansville, the window manufacturer, stated that the windows were not ordered until 8/4/2017 and should be completed by 8/23/2017. On 8/24/2017 I contacted Alsides again and was told the windows were ready for the installer to pick up. I contacted AWC again to let them know the windows were ready, and was told the installer doesn't want to install just 2 windows. They had another 7 windows to install in the next couple of weeks and would install my 2 on the same day. Jason Burke from AWC told me that I should be expecting a call from the installer to set an appointment for the installation. The last contact I had with Jason was 9/5/2017, and was told again that the installer would be getting a hold of me to arrange a date and time to install. 9/26/2017 I tried to call AWC again but received their voicemail. It has now been 3 weeks since I've tried to contact AWC, and I still have not heard from them or any installer. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, but it is still under review. I will not be using AWC for any of my upcoming home improvement needs.
