Delivered vanity on time and intact.

They gave me the wrong type of carpet. If you walk on it, you see your footprints. They were supposed to get the other one. The guy got it mixed up. I just stayed with it because once you get the carpet in, it's kind of a pain to redo the whole thing. I got a carpet I didn't really like. They were nice to deal with. But the sales guy got it mixed up. They should improve on communication. I would tell a friend or a family member to make sure they're emphatic about forgetting carpet. There are two different types and they're the same color and same carpet. They've got to know for sure that they know what they're selling. I don't think the guy understood. I think he knew what he was selling, but he was confused. Other than that, the installation was good. Their price was competitive. They were right here when they said they were going to be here.

The install was very good. Installers were courteous and worked fast. They took time to answer any questions I had and explained things.

Barb was great to work with, and had great design ideas for a limited space. She was very accommodating, flexible and patient with our last minute ideas or changes and worked well with our contractor. She also led us to a great deal on the wood flooring we used. Everything we ordered came in on time and in good condition.

They did a good job. I like the wood. They worked all day and they were on time.

It has been fine and good. Most of that was done before we bought the house. They were very good. They listened to what we needed and they went ahead and and got what we needed. They took care of us. It was up very well. The price was okay. We went there because we wanted something to match what we had. The quality was terrific.

Two guys came in the morning and ripped out our old windows. By the end of the day, the new ones were installed. We have no air leaks and you cannot tell that these windows were not originally in the house. The men were very professional and by the quality of the work they did, very experienced. We would definitely be using their services in the future.

We were assisted by April in the floor dept. I can't say enough good things about our service. She went the extra mile in helping us refine our design and get the look we ultimately went with. This was above and beyond simply showing us products but also getting deep into our design choices and layout. This was at our discretion and she was in no way and quot;pushing a saleand quot;. Beyond this we ran into some materials issues later in the job and all the staff was very quick to help us resolve this even though our materials were special order. I'd certainly use VonToble again in the future. The staff really captures the kind of service and quality that used to be common place in smaller and quot;mom and popand quot; stores.

I had no service preformed but good quality hardware not junk Just a step above the big box store.

Getting estimates for replacement windows. We called Von Tobel's in Valparaiso because they carry Anderson windows. The guy (installed sales manager) came out last Thursday and he still hasn't gotten back to us w/an estimate, (it has been 8 days) every other company gave us an estimate that day. He didn't bring windows for us to see either, said we should go to the store and look. We are heading into the winter months so time is important. I just called Von Tobel's to find out why we haven't heard anything and apparently no one seems to care. I spoke w/the general manager and he wasn't concerned at all, didn't even ask any questions so I ended the call. Needless to say, we won't be shopping there again.

Went well, without a hitch.

Their prices are average. They're very helpful. I have people that I could talk to and help me with my problems.

My experience has been excellent with Von Tobel Lumber and Hardware. I've always found them helpful and they have quality service and supplies.

Ordering materials was a bit cumbersome with limited personal attention. Supplies did not all get delivered as promised resulting in significant delays in completing the bathroom.

I think they are pricey, they are slow and are not very quick to get a quote. We didn't even get a call back two weeks later about the quote so we had to call. I thought that was a bit unprofessional. We are kind of stuck because there isn't many people to use here. I will not use them again unless I don't have anywhere else to go.

I looked at Von Tobel Lumber in Valparaiso in regards to finding a bathroom vanity, counter top, sink, faucets, ceramic/porcelain tile for both flooring and walls and other products for a master bath remodel. Well it was found that they had fair to good quality products I found what I felt to be better quality products at other specialty stores for an equal or better price. My personal opinion is that Von Tobel, in general, has down graded on many of their products to meet the economic times.

I purchased a vanity and quartz top a few years ago. The staff was very helpful. I also purchased a kitchen faucet last year $50.00 less than another plumping store.

They were fabulous. They finished the work in one day. They stayed late to finish the job. They were very good.

I will use them again in the future.

Von Tobel provided an accurate estimate for quartz countertops. It was much more reasonable than Costco or Sears.Once we decided, they came to measure with a laser in two days. The counters were ready and installed in less than two weeks. A professional crew of three came to fit and install, which took about 8 hours. We had a slight problem with fitting in the cooktop the next day, but they returned immediately and solved the problem without major work. They did not leave until we were satisfied. Von Tobel also provided us a list of three local contractors to contact for other work we needed. We were very satisfied with the services of the contractor we chose.

They were running a special on the doors that we wanted so we went with them. The installation guys were good but the painters were not as good; I think they just wanted to get done quickly. The installers were good and helpful and the salesman was fine. I have an older house so things don’t fit as well and it is harder to get things to fit.

quality products, reasonable prices, knowledgeable and very helpfull clerks. store has quality products that you cannot find at the big box stores.

I called and spoke to Kim at Von Tobel Schererville. I was calling in an attempt to have someone come out to give me a quote on a bathroom remodeling project. I was quite surprised when I called about a bathroom remodel project only to be told that all Von Tobel does is sell products and that I am responsible for finding my own contractor to have the products installed. Kim seemed very surprised and confused when I told her that there were over ten reviews on Angies list that say Von Tobel did great install work from estimate to job completion. According to her this has never been done, she also seemed quite annoyed by my inquiry. Based on my phone call with Von Tobel I will certainly use another company for my remodeling project.
