Description of Work: Jesse replaced a light fixture on the stairway leading to the basement. Then he installed a new fluorescent light and removed some old lights in the basement. Jesse is a great guy, honest and trustworthy. He did a great job and we will definitely call him in the future.

 + 1 moreI called Jesse of T-Line Electric and he came within a day - matching my schedule. He completed installing an electric ceiling fan/light with an adaption and disposed of the old light. He checked an outdoor light for me ( removing a light sensor on a bulb attachment) and replaced a motion sensor light on the garage. Jesse taught me how to operate the sensor and change its time, brightness, and range of light. He was a nice, clean-cut, polite guy!
Description of Work: Jesse installed a new electric fan/light in the bedroom and replaced a motion sensor light outside. The fan/light needed to be somewhat adapted to our room and he did that easily. I consulted with him on the possibility of another motion sensor light being installed on the side of the house and he recommended that with a shallow roof line I might want to try Malibu solar lights in the ground first before having to pay for a whole new fixture and line to be created. Good job and thanks for giving me a less costly option to try first!

 + -1 morePer my questions, he advised he has been doing this for several years, and his only advertisement is the small one in the Hammond Times. That, and the word of mouth, keeps him busy. I highly recommend him.
Description of Work: We recently sold our home in Dyer and naturally, the new buyers had the home inspected. Among a couple of minor needed repairs, it was discovered the two exhaust fans in the attic were not wired to code. The purchase agreement mandated the repairs be made by a licensed, bonded, and insured, contractor. Accordingly, I used the local Yellow Pages to search for an electrician who would give me a rough cost estimate. After contacting 4 or 5 and explaining what I needed, I obtained three verbal estaimates ranging from $300 to $500. One never called back and the other never showed up to even look at the job. I then noticed a small ad in the Hammond Times which wasn't fancy, so I thought I had nothing to lose, and I gave a call. I received an immediate response as this is a one man operation and he has his cell phone on at all times. After explaining the requirement, he gave me an estimate of $100 and said he could to the job later in the day or early evening. He showed up as promised, went right to work, was very friendly and professional, and completed the job in slightly over one half hour. Both of these fans were in a fairly confined space in the attic, however he didn't complain, nor did he up the price. After he left, I had to inspect the completed work and take photos to ensure the buyers the work was completed properly. At that time I noticed he went the extra mile and secured the new connections to the studs with screws. This was not required, but he evidently takes pride in his work.
