Sorry to see the bad grade. We picked up 1 Sears Lawn Tractor and 1 Brute walk mower, complete service which included all new filters, spark plugs, oil and blades sharpened on both mowers. Lawn tractor had a new battery put in. $300.00 is in line which included the pick up and delivery charge. I have seen where Sears charges $90.00 just to come out to someone's house before they do anything else so our pricing doesn't look to bad compared to that.

Description of Work: My mower just cranked but wouldn't fire. I took it to Riggs and expected them to charge hundreds but it turned out to be something simple with a valve. I only had to pay their minimum bench time. Honesty is their virtue.

I took a power washer, which was leaking oil, into Rigg's For repair. I have done business with Rigg's back when they were on the west end of Route 30. Good news is they are very dependable and professional. Bad news is they are so good that come Spring season, they get so busy. My only negative was, I had to wait in queue because they had such a backup of work. I trust Rigg's for what they sell and for what they service.
Description of Work: Gasket seal on a Honda power washer was leaking oil.

I picked up the new one within the week. Got it home only to find it didn't fit. I took it back to Rigg's. The man reached into the box under some paper and pulled out a paper that told how to adapt this rod to my tractor. Since I am a widow and have no idea about these things, I asked a neighbor to help. He said to take the tie rod back because he could fix my broken one. When I took it back, I was told it was special ordered (not told that when I ordered it) and I was stuck with it. I asked if I could atleast get part of my $108.00 back and was told, no. They wouldn 't be able to sell the part to anyone and had never ordered that part in the past and wouldn't want to be stuck with it. I said if the part was adaptable to my tractor,then why not to some other tractors. Their was no more conversation-----I just lost $108!!!!!
Description of Work: The tie rod on my garden tractor broke. I took the part in and asked for a new one. It was ordered.

The part sold is the correct part. They had a design change over 10 years ago to improve part. Slight modification were to be made described in instructions that came with part. We have not sold this part in over 4 years and thats including all 4 of our stores.
