Rickey Paving

This Contractor list it's business as a BBB member. It is not. They are also not Licensed or Registered to do business in Lake or Porter Counties according to the County Clerks Office. Rickey Paving did work on my Driveway and did not completely finish the work as promised. They did most of the job but now refuse to come back and finish the work. They took 8 days to do a 3 day job. Last time I called they hung up on me. They could have finished the work in 2 hours or less but they chose not to bother.

Driveway was done In July of 2013. It was seal coated in August of 2013. Driveway has four low spots. Three of those are up to 1/16" deep, and the other is up to 1/8" deep. (After a rain, when the rest of the driveway is dry, there's four water puddles.) In September of 2013, I told Terry Rickey about the low spots. He told me he would look at them as soon as he could, and if there was anything he could do he would. One year has passed and I haven't heard from him. He has not returned my phone calls. He has not replied to my emails. One month ago I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. He has not responded to them. I recently learned that a new driveway should not be seal coated until after it has cured. After speaking to the owner of a local, reputable asphalt company and doing research on the internet, I believe my driveway was sealed way too soon. Terry Rickey seems like a nice guy, and he is a hard worker. I don't understand why he has ignored me, and why he has not responded to the BBB. For this reason I gave him a lousy rating in "Responsiveness" and in "Professionalism".I

Not good. It looked good at first, but the driveway is busting up now that the weather has turned cold. The sealer has discolored after drying and it looks horrible. I called for 2 weeks and told the receptionist that I had some problems and needed to talk to Terry Rickey, the owner, but I haven't received a call back. I will find someone else to repair the damage and reseal the driveway in the spring. I will be more careful when I hire someone to do more paving for me this summer.
