Len The Plumber

My issues started with water backing up when I was using the washer. ?I called several plumbers however Len the Plumber was the only company that could come out immediately. ?I had a young, professional serviceman come the next morning (it was a Saturday) and he snaked my sewage line ($428) and advised that he thought my sewage connector was broken. ?He set up appointment for someone to confirm the issue?and provide a estimate. ?That individual came the next day, confirmed my connector was broken and provided an estimate of $5000. ?I had done some research and asked him was the average cost for this work was $2800 and why my quote was so high. ?He explained that extensive work they were going to have to do to get to the connector and that it would probably be a all day project (single, female, living by herself...all he saw was $$$). ?The workman came and since they only had a small area of concrete to remove to get to the connector they were done in a 1 hour ?and half. ?I immediately called the guy who provided the estimate and he was reluctant but lowered my the cost to $4000. ?I gave the service guys a check for $4000, forgetting that I had already written a check for a deposit. ? ?Len the Plumber cashed both checks and I have yet to get my refund. ?I have called them everyday to get this resolved and the Manager of the Sewage department has not returned my calls.?
