I was very pleased with the estimate and wanted to go ahead. Darrin confirmed that he would order the lights I picked and get back to me when they were ready to be installed. I then mentioned I was on Angie's List and that if things went well I would love to post a good review. He looked unhappy and left without taking the 50% down payment that his estimate form said the company required (which I would have paid). I called the following week to double-check that the lights were going to be ordered, because I was unclear on the next step or timing. The office transferred me to Darrin directly, who said they were in fact ordered and that he'd call when they came in. 11 weeks later, I called to ask the status of the installation. The office said I would have to speak with Darrin and transferred me. I got no reply to my message. I called two other times, leaving polite messages each time, to the effect that I understood if they needed more time or if it was a small job and just wasn't getting scheduling priority, but that I wanted to hear what was happening because it had been so long. The third time I also stated that I would use a different provider if I did not hear back. I did not hear back. A week later, I am on Angie's List, now looking for a reputable outdoor lighting contractor. My belief is that after providing the estimate Darrin realized it was too low, and rather than saying so and seeing if I would be willing to pay more or using the logical excuse "those lights have been discontinued and I need to offer you a more expensive product", he decided just to forget about me and let me go away. Which I find irritating and unprofessional, not to mention a waste of 12 weeks. Less likely, the whole company may be a scam, and once I said I was on Angie's List, he decided not to take my 50% down payment (which I never would have seen again) to avoid a negative review that could blow cash from future targets. I don't want to impugne them if they are in fact legtitimate, but I'm not sure, because THEY NEVER CALLED ME BACK despite 3 polite messages. AVOID!
