Terrible experience. Driveway was not mudjacked to make driveway flush at cracks, two areas that were mudjacked are not flush all the way along the cracks, there are now gaps between my foundation and the mudjacked areas in the front back of the house, and holes and cracks not sealed as the crew walked off the job without finishing. Also a sidewalk in the back of my house that was not listed in the contract was mudjacked without my consent and damage was done in the back area of my house. There was a concrete pad and a sidewalk next to an area of cement blocks used as pavers. Part of that area was damaged at my foundation and due to the mudjacking of the pad and sidewalk mudjacking in the back make the sidewalk angle done and now the cement block area completely floods up to the foundation and water is running down the foundation due to the damage done, sand is washing out between the blocks, the area never completely dries and moss is growing between the blocks. The water runs down the angled sidewalk area like a river and pools at the end of the sidewalk and then backs up onto the cement black area. The company claims they did nothing wrong even though the mudjacking traps water on the block area and that nothing would be done to change the water flow. He told me the problem is my downspouts even though they are not in the are of the flooding. When I said I disagreed Jon started yelling at me and told his crew to pack up and leave. When I asked for insurance information today after being told nothing was done wrong even though he previously admitted to some damage Jon yelled at me and told to call an attorney. I have not received a response to my email request for this information either. I first reported these problems on 5/18th after the first part of the job was done on 5/17 and the 31st was the first day anyone come to see what problems existed were. . Damage was not repaired, driveway was not fully mudjacked, and holes they made and cracks also were not sealed due to crew walking off job without finishing. The way things are now I am worse off than before and in danger of damage to a foundation I paid $11,000 to repair and water in my basement. I am shocked due to the good recommendation I received from someone I trust. Since they do not accept payment before job completed I have not yet paid anything.

The surface of the concrete looks good, but that's about the only plus I can give. I requested that the curb match what is currently installed up and down the block. I even pointed to the neighbors curb and driveway across the street and said to match that. What they put in doesn't match and now leaves a notched out section of asphalt in the street where their curb sticks out further. When I complained about it, the guy had the nerve to say if it was in front of his house that's how he would like it. (personally I couldn't care less what he wants in front if his house). Then about six months later I found that the base under the concrete in front of the garage wasn't deep enough and the water from the roof got under the concrete, froze, lifted the slab and inch above the floor of the garage... and then cracked. They said all they could do is fix the crack. Which is useless unless they tear it out and fix the base so the water has someplace to go.
Description of Work: I needed a new driveway installed. (curb, driveway apron, sidewalk, and the drive up to the garage.

very well. The man in charge came and talked to me to plan the new driveway. It was complicated because half the drive was steep and the driveway itself L shaped. We worked out how best to solve the problem to have a "back and turn" driveway.
Description of Work: The driveway was cracked and sinking. American Concrete Raising removed the old driveway. Then made the new one.

Quality was excellent. Price was fair. My only complaint was they weren't good on communication. They didn't always show when they said they would, which meant I waited all day for a no show.

I was impressed with the prompt attention I received. Someone came out to give me an estimate 2 days after I inquired. Then, 2 days after I returned the signed contract, they came out and did the work. Workers were courteous, introduced themselves, explained what they were going to do, then did it. They cleaned up after themselves, and we're happy with the work. Highly recommend!

Jon came out last week to give us a quote for the mudjacking and also for a poured patio. They were about 2 weeks out for the mudjacking so we booked that. They had a cancellation and called Friday to come out today (Monday). They were a little late but nothing bothersome at all, maybe 45 minutes beyond what they said. But to be fair, I am not even sure they knew I would be here, and if I had not, the timing would not have mattered at all. The sidewalks look amazing. We had some significant slopes towards the foundation that are nice and level now and they also saved our wrought iron columns and got them re-embedded into the cement. The two guys that did the work were polite and they cleaned up everything nicely. They put up flagging so nobody will drive on the driveway but we can use the driveway again tomorrow. We hope to hire them to do our patio but we might have to wait a bit on that.
Description of Work: Leveled our sidewalks along the garage to the front door and other side of garage. Leveled a spot at the front of the driveway.

Description of Work: They did a fine job of carefully laying a strip of cement 5 ft. within the garage and stretching about 5 ft. into the driveway. Unfortunately, one of the workers carelessly threw a board down to cover a tarp and inadvertently put a gouge in the newly poured concrete which had not yet dried. When it was dried, the gouge was there, and you could see daylight from the inside looking out through the closed garage door. Unfortunately, the gouge was not discovered until the cement was hardened. To their credit the company came back to fix the problem, but refused to re-pour the cement in that area, choosing instead to apply cement filler/adhesive to cover the crack. It has a different color than the poured/dried cement. We were not happy that the section was not redone properly to our complete satisfaction.

The owner came, and did the work himself. He was a man of his word. They kept their promises. They give you a price, they do the work and when they're done, the work is done. They said they would be here in a couple of weeks, and they were here in a couple of weeks. I'm satisfied with what we ended up with.

The final results have proven well. Unfortunately at the time we contacted American Concrete Raising, they were very much overwhelmed with other projects. It took over two weeks for the contractor to return my phone call and then it took another three + weeks before they were able to come out to do the work. However, they went overboard to make our step very well and then without further charge, they almost completely raised our upper concrete driveway section that ants and moles dropped about two inches. They did this all in one day, which was certain because of the damage by the little critters to the driveway. We are very pleased with the work they did and how much they did for such a small price! They were very nice and handled everything in a professional way.
Description of Work: They raised our front concrete step to our concrete porch about six inches and they raised the level of our upper section of our concrete driveway.
