John Arruza - House Painting

John is a teacher during the school year, but in the summer he does house painting. My wife and I believe that he did a truly excellent job. My house looks like a new house. He gave us very reasonable estimates for different qualities of house paint, and after we accepted one of the estimates, he gave us color swatch decks that allowed us to select our colors from a wide assortment. He then obtained the quality paint we chose in our colors and painted small portions on the house to allow us to see how the colors we selected would look, allowing us to approve the colors. Prior to John's power washing the house to remove old chipped paint, John spread drop cloths over my wife's organic herb and vegetable garden, which is close to the house, to prevent any paint chips and later any paint drips from getting on them, which he was successful in doing. After power washing the house, John immediately started repairs where they were needed and then began the painting. Years ago we had other companies paint our house, and John has been much faster than they were. He is a steady worker, and very neat - important when you are painting a tudor style house with dark brown beams crossing cream colored stucco walls. When he is done with a section, there is no evidence of dripping. The edging is all very neat and precise, and there is no evidence of paint runs. The house looks great! We feel fortunate in having had John do the painting and would highly recommend him to anyone else who needs to have their house painted.
