Inspired Remodeling & Tile by Peter Bales

Peter did a great job he was easy to work with we communicated before the job about expectations and ideas. I purchased what he asked me to purchase. I felt like he did an excellent job.... he worked with my ideas and it turned out great. Installed tile, tub/shower, cabinet, toilet & accessories. I recommend Peter, I had several bids and he was by far the most detailed and displayed the best value for his work. Peter did my job in < than one week by himself.

Peter was very prompt each day & worked all day long with no breaks. The bathroom looks great & meets our expectations & wants/needs. He always offered to go above & beyond what was planned at no additional fee.

First off, Peter was excellent to work with from day one. I have never worked with anyone as detailed and organized as Peter. Peter came out to see the project and then put together an description of the work and estimate. He was so organized he included what work would be completed on what day and he stayed right on track throughout the end. This was a major project that took a little over a month. He did everything from design, electrical, plumbing, drywall, facets, door, trim, tile, and the list goes on and on. He started by running electrical wire for new lighting, switches, plugs, fan and then moved onto the plumbing. He installed 6-body sprays, rain head shower, and handheld sprayer that was all in the shower, in addition he also did the plumbing for the soaking tub and sinks. He framed out everything for the large walk in shower and build in a box around the soaking tub. Once the framing was completed he started the tile. We chose 12X24 Marble tiles throughout the shower and ceiling. He also installed the marble half way up all the walls and then behind all walls of the soaking tub to the ceiling. The tile works was absolutely beautiful, everything was very even and lined up perfectly. He installed a mosaic marble design on the shower floor with a covered tiled drain and did the same design in the nook within the shower. He came up with so many of the ideas when designing this bathroom. He built an arch over the soaking tub and columns on each side (its beautiful). He also created the nook for shampoos bottles in the shower on the bottom all the way across so anyone walking into the bathroom couldn't see our bottles. He took into count every detail and created a design that you would see in magazines. I still walk into our bathroom and can't believe it's mine. Thank you Peter for the beautiful work you did.

I've never worked with a more professional contractor. His rates were affordable and his work was pure perfectionism.

Peter did an excellent job of salvaging what could be saved from the previous contractor. He was very reliable. He arrived when he said he would and he put in a full day's work. He finished when he said he would. He made some great suggestions. He is an expert at tile and knows what looks good. I wish I had more work for him to do since he is a pleasure to have in my home.

Peter stopped by promptly after I contacted him and gave me an estimate within three days. He walked me through what supplies I would need to buy and gave me some options. Where I bought the materials and how much I spent was up to me. When it came time to start, he was at my home when he said he would be and finished within a week. He kept me informed of progress and worked steadily to complete it. There were no hidden charges or surprises when I got his final bill, either. Six months later, the new walk-in shower looks as nice and works as well as it did the day he finished. His expertise with tile clearly shows in the quality of the workmanship.

Peter did and amazing job at keeping on his time line. I love how he gives you exactly what he will be doing each day. By choosing to supply the tile myself it was great that he was able to give me exact amounts so I didn't have much leftover. This is the second job he has done and I look forward to many, many more ahead.

Peter was very highly recommended to me from the cabinet company that I hired for the kitchen. I gave Peter a call and left a message. He got back with me promptly and I explained the job. We scheduled a time for him to take a look at the project. He showed up on time and had me a quote that evening. The day of the job Peter was on time, a little early even and he got right to work. I hired Peter Bales, based on reviews from Angie's list. He is very professional, meticulous and quite the perfectionist. His work was the best I have seen. He showed up when he said he would and he worked non-stop. He redid the shower in 5 days and it is absolutely gorgeous! His work is amazing. Every tile is symmetrical, almost flawless. Peter seemed to be pretty methodical and had a plan in his head for everything he wanted to accomplish each day. One great thing, Peter cleaned up after himself every afternoon before leaving. He was very careful how he worked, for example when removing the old shower doors, he had them leaning against a wall but he had taken the time to place clean rags behind them as to not scuff the wall, and when cutting his tiles, he placed mats out in the driveway and put his table with the tile cutter on top of the mats as to not leave a mess on the driveway. I was responsible for purchasing the tiles, the frameless shower door, the faucet hardware and even had Peter put a new ceiling light fixture in the bathroom. The approximate cost below, is the cost of service; I spent about $2400 in addition. I would hire him again and have already recommended him to friends. He is quite busy so I had to schedule him well in advance, and now I know why. It was definitely worth the wait.

We couldn't be happier with the work Peter Bales did for us. He gave us smart advice on design decisions, showed great care and craftsmanship in all of his work--tile, plumbing, electrical, etc.--was always helpful and cheerful, was careful in working around us, left a clean work site behind him each day, and charged very reasonable prices, considering the quality and quantity of the work he did for us. We would certainly use him again and we recommend him very highly.

He was very open to working with my ideas and was very easy to work with. He did a beautiful job on the tile and trim work. Best experience I have ever had with a contractor. I would definitely recommend to anyone.

Our mid-century modern home had large areas of mirrored walls above both fireplaces. We'd been wanting to replace the mirrors with tile for a few years but hadn't located a tile person to do it. We found Peter's name on Angie's List and gave him a call. We were impressed from the start. Peter is VERY professional and very personable. He responds promptly to messages and shows up when he says he will. We weren't quite sure what tile we wanted, but in discussing the work with Peter he always had helpful suggestions and was able to steer us in the right direction. Peter's a very careful worker. He laid down protective coverings on the floor and always cleaned his work area thoroughly at the end of each day. Work was completed on time and for the price estimated. BEAUTIFUL work! We couldn't be more pleased and would definitely use Peter again. We highly recommend him!

Inspired Remodeling and Tile by Peter Bales did a great job and he's a really nice guy too. He's very honest, fair and just a humble guy. He's somebody you wouldn't mind just leaving and let him be there in your house. He's in the house and I haven't heard anything. He just tried to do the best job he could. He seemed like he gave us a discount.

Peter was wonderful to deal with and was always on time from start to finish. He removed all the fixtures, walls and a doorway. Installed the new tub and solid surface surface shower and base, then he worked his magic on the new tile. He laid out the tile so that the room seems bigger now, even though it is still the original size. He finished by installing the new vanities and medicine cabinets, then painted the new room. Wow, what a difference he made, thank you, we could not have chosen a better contractor.

Removed tub, rebuilt as shower enclosure, included tile work, built in niches, seat. As a survivor of 3 major additions to our home as well as numerous smaller projects, I have enough experience to be able to provide a valid review. Let me tell you, Peter really stands out, easy and enjoyable to work with, quality workmanship, finished within budget and on time. As remodels are always fraught with unknowns, being able to get work done without undo delays and extra costs is not something that happens often, furthermore his rates are very reasonable. I have no hesitation in highly recommending Peter.

We were new to the area and needed to find a good Tile Mason to help us upgrade a Master Bathroom and a Kitchen. Our primary contractor recommend Peter Bales of Inspired Remodeling and Tile out of Freedom Indiana. Peter responded to our call, came to assess the project, rendered his thoughts and was hired for the project. We soon discovered that Peter is much more than just a Tile Mason. Before working his magic with the tile, we got to see him in action as a carpenter, a plumber and an electrician. He was quite knowledgeable and skillful at each endeavor. We can't help but be curious if there isn't anything he can't do! The projects came out beautifully, even better than expected. Peter was able to accomplish the tasks within budget, on time and, no matter the curves we threw at him, did so with grace and a smile. Throughout the years we're hired a variety of contractors to help us meet our goals but we must say that none were so pleasant, bright and impressive as Peter.. He is a fine man with excellent skills. We could not be happier with his work and with Peter Bales the man. We would hire him again in an instant.
