They said that it never cracks or comes apart. But it is cracking, and they won't come back to do anything about it. We had a five year guaranty and they won't come back out here. They were also suppose to come out every year to apply a coating. Update: Dream Stone did come back and complete the repairs. I will not know too much until next spring as to the quality of the work.
Description of Work: They do concrete overlays. The work looked beautiful when they left.

In July 2007 I saw one of my neighbors having their drive refinished. I had Jeff Roberts come over and give me an estimate. Part of his sales pitch was how well he prepped the surface by power washing the concrete and filling in the cracks and chipping the concrete out of certain areas where there are edges, like sidewalks, garage entrances and the driveway where it connects with the street. None of which were actually done on my job. His warranty is a joke. Within days of completion it began crumbling is several areas. He came out (only because I withheld part of the payment until it was done correctly) and put another layer on top of a step and the a portion of the front sidewalk. This time he must have used the right amount of epoxy because it is staying better. I paid him in full and within days the driveway started crumbling at the street and sidewalk. After talking with several other companies who do epoxy stone surfaces, it appears that he did absolutely nothing right. Not enough epoxy in the basic mix, cracks that were not prepared correctly and edges not constructed right. One company says he has about 30 jobs waiting for repairs, on jobs Roberts has done. I have called him a dozen times with no response. He did call this spring and left a message on my answering machine saying he had been in TN over the winter and he would be out in 2 weeks and fix everything. Still no show and no response to my calls. The bottom line is he took short cuts at every opportunity. I am getting bids from other contractors to repair the problem areas, but I may have to tear it all out and start over. As far as suing him I am told I will have to stand in line.
Description of Work: I hired him to install an epoxy stone surface on my driveway, sidewalks, patio and porch.

Mr. Roberts is very unreliable in his service. Had original work done in 2005. Called in May of 2006 to repair some defects in the patio and to apply a coat of sealer. To date he has not shown up, even though he has called several times to say he would be here at a particular time. I could not recommend him to anyone. His product is nice, but other than that, the company is run very poorly.
Description of Work: Contracted to extend patio with concrete, and finish with pebble stone top.

They moved the cement mixer under our picture window. They moved things from the patio to other places. They did pick the cement bags and moved the pile of dirt. Everything else they just moved onto the stones. Now it is lying in my backyard still. This is hoses, shovels, tools and cement mixer etc. You name is it is laying there. The promised completion was this past weekend. Weather permitting they would do it yesterday. They keep saying this, but they do not come back. They have $1,500 of our dollars since May 10th. I have had it, and I do not want them to do this job now. We are having a huge party here this weekend, and this patio should have been done a month ago, and here we sit with a cement mixer and debris in our backyard. The phone calls don't help, he just lies to us. It has been sunny 3 days in a row, it is weather permitting.
Description of Work: May 10th we signed a contract with them for $3,958 for a resurfacing of our patio including the steps. In addition they were going to extend the patio perimeter on the right. We paid them $1,500 on 5/10/06, which they probably cashed. They told us 3-4 weeks for installation, which was fine. It is June 28th and we have called them no less than a dozen times. They have self imposed deadlines, which they have missed now by 3 weeks. They have done a minimal amount of work. They came out and extended the perimeter after numerous phone calls. They left debris and it has been there for 2 weeks. Up until yesterday there were 15 concrete bags. There is tools scattered everywhere. The dirt they dug for the extension they dug for the patio, sat there for more than a week. It looked like a crime scene. They totally trashed our patio. It has been like that for 2 weeks. After irate phone calls from us, yesterday they came out. They tossed the furniture off the patio to the side.
