When I called around to find someone to repair a malfunctioning gas log, Bill Chinn was recommended to me by one of the fireplace dealers in town, though his primary business is heating and a/c. In the wake of an ice storm it took about a week to arrange an appointment, which is entirely understandable; communication was good, and keeping in mind that it's the middle of a very cold winter, I think my non-emergency service request was given enough priority. Bill replaced the faulty part, cleaned a lot of soot from the logs and fireplace (where it looked like someone had tried to burn something that didn't belong there), answered my questions, and made sure everything was working well before he left. Bill and his wife (who accompanied him as his assistant) are very friendly, as a bonus. Though this was a relatively small job, it was done well, and I would not hesitate to call them again.
