Fence looks great he made it very convenient to get the other things checked off my list of things I have been putting off. Definitely would recommend him to friends and family. Very reasonable priced. HIs quality of work is excellent.

I can refer him, I would give him an excellent rating, definitely! Yes, very good! He was very honest about saying, ?Well if it was a bigger thing, that they could handle, but they took a look and determined it was actually a problem with my washing machine. It was under that and it was leaking back there. They actually went with me to get the washing machine and bought it back. So, they were really helpful. In fact, they were the only ones that responded to me, and I called several people. They responded the fasted, after they did I had several others. They were willing to take care of it right now for me and the others, it was going to be a while. They got me in!

I contacted Jeff via Angie's list and set up a date/time for him to come out to my house. The first time he was supposed to come out I called after he was 10 minutes late to ask if he was still coming and he said they were stuck at a job and would plan to be out later. He then called me at the later time to tell me he needed to reschedule and would confirm with me later in the week. After not hearing from him again later in the week as we had discussed, I reached out to him and set up a time for him to come out and take a look at the projects we were wanting done. He came out, we talked about what I was wanting down, and wrote things down. When he left the plan was for him to take a couple days and then get back to me with a quote. After not hearing from him for two weeks, I reached out yet again only for him to tell me his partner was injured and he would not be able to do any work for me until the end of November. I asked if he could at least send over the quote since I took the the time to set up two different times for us to meet with he didn't even respond. To add to that, the entire time he was here, it was as if he had a lot going on and didn't have the time for the projects I was asking. My thoughts are that if he truly is that busy then why not be honest and decline the work. It was a huge waste of time for me and very unprofessional.

Jeff and Rob showed up exactly when they promised and finished the job quickly. They are very nice to deal with. I would highly recommend them.

Jeff arrived at the time he indicated. He called the previous day to confirm our list and the time. The work was completed as promised, both time wise and quality wise. They were happy to answer any questions that I posed regarding the projects and I feel they did a professional job. I will definitely call again.

Jeff and Robert are great. They knew we were under a tight deadline and they worked us into their schedule by working nights. Jeff identified some issues that would have come up during inspection and called us to see if we wanted them fixed. They took care of getting parts and materials we needed so they didn't have to wait on us and the jobs could get down faster. We were pleased with all of the work they did and grateful for the speedy service.

Jeff and Rob are consummate professionals, show up on time, get straight to work and they get the job done. I have worked with Jeff for many years fixing various things in my home and never hesitate to give him a call if I need help. I know they will be there as soon as their schedule allows, even on weekends (which is a great relief - not having to take time off work to wait around). I highly recommend giving your handyman business to Jeff Ashcraft.

I called Jeff on a Saturday to get a quote for installing 2 doors (1 exterior and 1 interior). I told him we had a short timeline as we needed to get the rental house listed to sell. Jeff and his partner came out the next day (Sunday). Went with my husband to buy the doors and then installed them that same day. The doors look great. He also walked through the house and identified some issues that would come up during inspection. We will be hiring him again to assist with getting these items fixed.

Great communication, super work. Clean, neat, and fair with pricing. Love that we could get weekend work. Getting ready to schedule more work.

Rick charged by the hour so things ended up costing more that we had thought. He was on time and very friendly and personable. However, while hanging a fixture he was a little careless and let some of the prism fall to the ground. He also broke a candle in my bathroom. He offered to replace it, but didn't. On two of the light fixtures he hung without putting the casing on so that there is a gaping hole in the ceiling. He said that he'd come back out and finish it, but then said that he would charge. It seemed like he was doing double work. He did not clean up after himself.

It was obvious from the start that Rick was experienced and knowledgable,.Worked his way through a list of tasks throughout the house in a systematic way. Although the day started a little late, Rick insisted on working until finishing around 730pm, instead of returning at a future date. Price was as our original quote.

Everything went well and the cost was extremely reasonable!!

Rick, had to go into attic and do work up there to install the ceiling fans - he then came back down and installed them in very little time. They work very well and we are happy with the work.

Rick is fantastic! This was the 2nd time I hired him. He not only accomplished all of the tasks on the checklist but also ran to the store to get the correct items (I purchased incorrect ones) and fixed a couple of things not on the list and didn't charge me. Rick is a gentleman and very thorough in his work. I absolutely recommend him!

Rick Cox is great. To the point, on time, doesn't make promises he does not keep. Tells you when to not waste your money.

This person led me to believe he worked with Dan and Rick. Dan and Rick never returned my initial call or my calls when I had problems. Dan and Rick have never called to see if this person they refer has done a good job or bad job. If Your Handyman has a good rating on Angie's then shame on Angie's.

The work was done as expected and it went well.

One of the worst experiences we have had with handymen/contractors. I called Dan Barksdale and left a message. I got a call back from a guy called JT Sylvester who said he was working with Dan and that they are all part of the same team. He said that since Dan is getting old it is JT that is now doing the "big projects." We decided to go with him based on the reviews at Angie's List. This was a big mistake. It turned out that JT Sylvester himself did little of the work and instead had others come and do the vast majority of the job while he must have been juggling other projects at the same time. I later realized that professionally he was unable to do most of the construction work. I did not feel he was always honest with me but so long as the work continued -- albeit not always fast -- I decided not to challenge him on that. Part of the job required rerouting some of the furnace ducts in the basement to create space for a higher ceiling. I began complaining to JT that we don't get air in half of the house as a result of their work in the basement. JT gave me all kinds of excuses and said they were working on it. Then, while working on fixing the problem the furnace was shut down and they were unable to restart it. I called a furnace company who restarted it and also told me that the duct work they did does not make any sense. Not only that it cannot provide air to half of the house (our bedrooms) but that the furnace is overheating because there is not enough intake and outflow air. We paid an extra $3000 for a professional heating company to fix this mess. JT then put the blame on one of his workers rather than taking the responsibility himself. We have scheduled twice with him to come and finish the job - and twice he had excuses why he cannot come. Unfortunately, we have already paid him for the job except for small final touch ups (and the fixing of the ceiling after the new ducts were put in place) so he had not "reason" to return and finish the job. We now have to pay for another handyman to finish the job. BTW, when the furnace company fixed the problem, they had to remove part of the ceiling, including the bathroom fan. They found out that the fan was capped with a tape, so when turned on it just made noise without actually sucking any air out of the bathroom. For me this was just another example of his poor performance.

TV bracket was new and somewhat confusing. We had had TV there before but previous bracket supports would not work. Rick presented me a couple options to make new smaller bracket fit old larger supports.

they were friendly, easy to work with, honest and as far as the drywall and ptching- patient and did an excellent job- cant tell wher it is, also went ahead and patched an existing crack in the wall. he made two- 3 trips to make sure the job was done right- and ddn't charge me extra!!

Provided an initial estimate to replace screens and some wood trim pieces that were rotted. After taking down the screens and wood, he found that a lot more of the wood was rotted than we initially thought. He replaced all of the foundation around the screens as well as trim pieces. This included purchasing supplies, priming/painting, caulking, putting up new screens/wood, and hauling away old wood. He kept the work area very clean. The job took several days due to the drying time for the paint, however he kept me notified along the way. I would use this service again.

This went awesome! I contacted Rick on 06.09.15 and he came over on 06.13.15 to mount the 2 Tv's, he worked very quickly and installed the Tv's perfectly. He was even able to figure out the wall mounts that were already on or Tv's! Will be using his services again soon!
