TruGreen Lawn Care - 5807

If I could give no starts I would. There service ruined my mothers lawn. Then to boot they only showed up once to her house for the year. She never received a bill or paper on the door that they were there. No phone call or bill sent in mail, just sent to collections. I will never use them if this is how they treat the seniors!

They never did a complete service. I don't think they are used to large yards. Terrible service.

It's going well. My lawn is looking good. I pay on an annual basis with them. They just come and go. You never see them hardly. They put a marker out in the grass to stay off of it while it is drying. They leave a note in your door that says we were out this is what we did and the solutions we put. They tell you what solutions they happen to put down whether it is fertilizer, weed killer, or grub control. We don't basically hear from them until the next month. I would say the price is fair, but I don't know how competitive it is. If it was real expensive, we wouldn't be doing it.

It was fine. They always come when they say they're coming and they do a good job. I've never really had to contact them. I actually never see them. They just leave a note in the door. I've been using them now for about 15 years.

I did not notice much of a difference in the appearance of my lawn. It made me question the quality of product being applied. Total of 7 treatments. Also, if you do not cancel your service, someone will show up the next year, provide service, and bill you.

I was expecting a "healthy lawn analysis" as promised by the promotional literature that came in the mail. I even expressed that I wanted this analysis in writing to the 1-866 number and was assured that I would be provided this in writing after the technician was there for the 1st time. I purchased a home that was rented for 10 years, so the lawn looks pretty bad in some spots - weeds, bare spots, burrowing animals, etc. There is no "lawn analysis". It's a marketing gimmick. If you are looking for a company to simply dump chemicals on your lawn and charge you $50 a visit, hire TruGreen. If you want a company who will educate your about the problem(s) in your lawn and explain the treatment(s) and what to expect, I would use someone else.

I am a bit annoyed by the attempts at upselling additional treatments. I have budgeted for the year's service and am not interested in these efforts to sell more services.

They are the only ones in this area. They are on a schedule for the season. They do have a yearly contract, we do it on a per service payment. The bugs seem to appear after they have left. I have a problem with them coming back and doing things right. I have a patch or two that is still not taken care of. I would use them again.

The specialists seem friendly, knowledgeable and are willing to answer questions. They don't always stop during every visit to ask if we have any questions. The recent introduction of hand-held computer based print-outs seem to limit the information they are able to give - before last year the specialist was able to hand-write observations about problem areas but now if you don't catch them while they are there it is hard to get such information. Our primary concern is that during the time period that we have used their services we have had a young, mature, healthy weeping cherry tree develop a problem and die over the course of the past summer; also, our lawn has developed a rather large patch of Bermuda grass (the rest of the lawn is standard northern climate type grass). I'm not blaming the TruGreen company for these occurrences. However, their specialists watched these events happen and didn't give us urgent warnings that we should consider taking some action to try and stop the progression of these events (note that I assume that they noticed what was happening much earlier than we did). To be fair, I have talked to two of their competitors and one said they would not identify Bermuda grass as a problem, while the other said that they would.

So far they have been great to work with. Since we have treatment package with them they show when the treatments are needed. They will knock on the door and let you know when they are here and see if we have any concerns. Their prices are competitive to other companies.

Called manager at local TRUGREEN (name available upon request). He seemed uninterested and bored about our concerns. We requested credit card bill and quot;credited for existing chargesand quot; and requested to terminate services. He offered no apology or explanation. Our credit card bill was and quot;creditedand quot; for the amount and I hope to NEVER SEE A TRUGREEN TRUCK PARKED IN FRONT OF OUR HOUSE AGAIN!!!!! The really sad thing is we had been a loyal customer of TRUGREEN's for 3-years...............it makes me sick to think how many times they have done this scam to us and other people...................and how many working people they will scam in the future. This is not to say that all TRUGREEN franchises in the USA are dishonest, I can just report on my experience with the one that services my zip code.

They are good. They came out right away within a few days and then when after about a month we still had a lot of weeds, they came out and sprayed again with no charge. They just came in and did the work and then left the bill at the door after they talked to my husband first about what he wanted. They didn't really bother us. They just did what they were supposed to do and then left the bill. I think they're about average in pricing.

When they came on Friday, they put down fertilizer and weed control. They were running a special. Complete lawn care for 225 dollars. We have had them before and we stopped as it was getting too expensive. But they come out and spray the yard. They are better than what I was doing. You don't get to interact with the staff. They stick a thing in the yard saying they have been there and they leave. They just did my lawn. The price is great.

They are very good, they are spreading a good product, they are timely, and they don’t make a mess. They are responsive if you have any questions and they are very knowledgeable about lawn issues. The cost of the service depends on the size of the yard.

We used the company for over a year, but decided not to continue due to the attitude of the manager. After weed treatments we had, and still have, quite a lot of brown spots in our grass...some rather big. When I called the company about it I was told that the area manager would come out and take a look. He never came out...but did call a few days later. His attitude was poor and he pretty much told me that's just how it is and asked if I water my lawn enough. I pay them over $80 every visit so that my lawn looks good so you can bet that I do my part and water! He told me to "be patient" and it would turn green in a few weeks ...he gets this same complaint every year from customers (that would indicate a problem to me, no?!). All in all he seemed rather bothered by me, the customer, and told me that I could always cancel the service if I was not happy. We agreed that I would wait a bit and receive a call before they apply any more treatments. Well...I came home to a bill because they did come out and treated without first calling me and he of course does not even recall our conversation! I canceled the service effective immediately and will never again use this particular company nor will I refer them to anybody.

They have been very good. They were prompt, the payments were competitive, and they did a good job.

I've had no problems with them. They have a truck and come to your house and do the treatments themselves. They did an excellent job and I've been using them for the last two or three years.

They always call ahead of time to let you know what day they will be coming. I do have pets and they put a sign in the yard to let me know. If I ever noticed weeds in the yard I call them and they come out the next day.

They are prompt and they stand behind their work. I don’t think they have any downfalls. The price is reasonable. I spend $55 for each application. I would continue to use them in the future; in fact, this is my third year with them.

I have been using them for three years. I have been very happy with them so far. They come out immediately if I ever have a problem. They seem to know what they are doing. They give me suggestions for watering and equipment needs. I wish the price was lower. I have not had any problems with the quality of their work. I will use them again.

As a repeat customer I think that the price is right. They come out when they say they will. Our lawn seems to be doing better since we have been using their services.

I think his pricing is very reasonable and will come out on his own to perform service. He is also very personable and professional.

Unbelievable pricing compared to other lawn and garden companies in the area who do the same thing. The only problem is that they killed my bushes. I have read several other reviews stating the same thing and cannot believe that they continue to get away with it. First, the weeds never went away and I had dandelions in my yard while my neighbors enjoyed weed free lawns all year. After they applied the bug treatment to my bushes, they were dead within 2 months. When I called them about bugs on my roses I had one person tell me that it was because the bugs were living inside of the buds while another told me that they do not spray rose bushes (80% of my landscape is roses so why would I order something that they know they would not apply. Either way one person lied to me. Called them to rectify the situation and they did send out a manager who guaranteed me that there would be someone out the following week to look at my bushes and rectify teh situation. 2 weeks went by and when I called back the manager stated that they had been busy but would send someone out the next day. Don't make promises that you do not intend to keep. They could have at least called me and let me know. Finally, they will not stop calling me this year. They still want to come out and do my lawn. I tell them to stop calling me but they have a different person call me every week. Too many promises and not enough service. They are a great price but you get what you pay for. Call someone else or do it yourself.

We have regular service with them. They are consistent. They are good. Our lawn has never looked better. The price is consistent with everyone else. The quality of their work is fine. I will continue to use them in the future.
