+ -1 moreI am extremely pleased with the door installation. My home is almost 100 years old, so getting the correct fit was not an easy task. Mr. Konkey arrrived at the appointed time and worked diligently to ensure the door was correctly fitted. I couldn’t be more pleased with his price, professionalism, and attention to detail. Thanks to Scott I have a new door that I love! Would I hire him again? It’s an emphatic, “Yes,” from this pleased customer!

Description of Work: Built a wooden shed and installed it on my 3rd floor balcony. Because the next-door owner did not participate, Scott Konkey had to figure out how to build half a shed, the part on my property. A major constraint was time, as the job, from initial contact to completion, had to be done in 1 week. Everything went extremely well, with the job actually completed 1 day earlier than the deadline. Excellent quality of work, fully approved by the estate administration who requested contact details to distribute among other condo owners.

+ 2 moreIt went well. Really well. If you have ever had construction done on your home....you know what a mess it creates. Scott and his crew did their best to make it a pleasant project, keeping my backyard safe for me to walk and cleaning up after each phase was done. I started this idea of wanting to have an outdoor space to entertain and a place for my grandchildren to play safely. I felt that the front of my home would be the best spot, but, after much conversation with Scott, he suggested we visit the back yard and see how that could be accomplished. His suggestions were spot on. I have access to my deck from my large sliding door and thru the back door. I have a covered space, if it rains, and an outdoor space to enjoy the sun. Life is good. Scott was open to all my changes. I am a woman! The deck and porch grew bigger and I decided I wanted a roofline that would highlight the porch. Scott built a hip roof and it was the perfect suggestion. He also said that it will do better in the wind as I am near Lake Michigan . Each time a change was made, he would give me an estimate of what the change would cost so I could keep up on my expenditures. He was patient, too. I would definitely recommend Scott Konkey , Konkey Construction and Renovations, as the man to do your next project. I trust his judgement, I appreciate his focus on detail and his personal attention in making my outdoor- living -space dream come true. Below are pictures of my backyard prior to the addition (I rarely used the back yard to entertain). And pics of the finished project. If you need more info please contact me.
Description of Work: My new deck and covered porch is amazing. My family is calling it the "South Wing" as it has extended my home with outdoor living space and a covered area. I wanted it to hold 20 people comfortably and Soctt has done just that. It is solid and looks like it has always been there. Scott suggested we add an oversized sliding door from the dining room (large enough for a wheelchair to go thru) with prarie detailing to tie in with all the other windows in the house. Since I have an older home, Scott had to fabricated moulding on the inside to match what was in place. It looks perfect. The true sign of a good craftsman. As I sit here and write this review...what did the provider do?....he opened my house up to my beloved outdoors...even in winter I feel connected and am visually placing my outdoor furniture and serving dinner to my friends on my new spacious deck and covered porch.
