It turned out to be a blown fuse. However, I made the call Sunday afternoon and the technician (Boyce) was there and had completed the evaluation and repair within 2 hours

He was a little later than I was told, but he was very nice and professional. He did the work quickly as I needed to go to work.

Called Goff on Friday morning, 2/2. Tech arrived before noon and diagnosed the problem within 2 hours. Explained options for repair (almost $2k in parts & labor) and replacement. Long story short, we went with a new furnace (old furnace was 15 years old, and repairs would be complex). Given that it was Friday afternoon, they thought the earliest replacement could be made would be Tuesday. The office called me back and let me know they could get it done on Saturday, 2/3, for the same price. They were at the house by 8 am on 2/3 and were done by 1 pm. Awesome service, work and responsiveness.

Goff was amazing. They did a super job, super fast and it was done right for an excellent price. Since there was some water in my basement, they even put the furnace on concrete blocks to raise it up so it will not rust out from the water. Another company I hired previously tried and failed to repair my furnace by replacing wrong parts. The guy from Goff was surprised about what the other guy thought was the problem, the Goff guy was much more knowledgeable, much more helpful, and Goff did everything exactly as I requested. I accepted some options that added to the price but I should have taken the humidifier option too, so if you do this, consider taking that option. Goff is the only company I would ever consider hiring in the South Bend - Mishawaka area.

No problems. Job was done on time, everything completed as expected.

The service went well. I got a good deal on the units. The installation was complicated, but went very well. They were really good about accommodating my needs for the installation. The only negative thing I have to say about them is that they are extremely vigilant about their money. In order to pay with a credit card, they said I needed to pay 2-3 days before the installation so that the payment would process before the installation took place. I agreed to pay them with a check after the installation was done. The installation took until around 5:30, but the salesman showed up at around 3:30 asking for the check.

Furnace trouble was quickly and accurately diagnosed

Told they were not accepting new clients so will look elsewhere for a local shop that wants business. No weigh in on what overall service they provide, might be very quality, but as far as willingness to work with new client base it's non-existent.

The Goff crew showed up on time, finished the project in a timely manner and the wife now has a comfortable home again.

They are here locally in the South Bend, Indiana area. They had a good price. The quality was good. Their punctuality and professionalism were great. They are reliable, trustworthy and have a good price.

Gave estimate. Completed furnace install in one day and returned about one week later to finish A/C. At that time I requested some additional work and they returned 2 days later and completed that..

Reasonable price, ontime, barely knew they were here working. Very pleased and with company.

I used them at an old residence and I reused them because they were always responsive and helpful and economical. They have very low turnover on technicians and employees. They're just very responsive. I've never had trouble with anything they've done. You can give them A for everything. I did get a lot of quotes and they had the best information. They'd be my first choice.

I have a two free service agreement for both Air Conditioners and my furnace with these folks. This was granted to me when they installed my 2nd floor A/C. Recently they came to inspect my furnace. Shortly thereafter my igniter went out. These are like light bulbs and you never know when one will quite. Consequently the furnace went out. They were back the next day and got my furnace working before the house got too cold. Very punctual, knowledgeable, professional and courteous. Then my furnace went out again a couple of days later. Again they were there the next day. This time the cause was due to heat exchanger tubes that cannot be inspected unless one dismantles the furnace. No fault of Goff Heating and A/C. Since the furnace was 12 years old and other parts of the furnace were about to go out, I elected to get a new furnace. They were able to get my furnace working temporarily until the new furnace could be installed. I got the new furnace at a sale price, plus $1,000 coming back from a combination of Gas Company and Furnace company credits/rebates. Net cost: $2856. Additionally I received credit on the igniter they previously installed. A couple of days later the thermostat went out. They were out the same day and gave me a new one FREE! What more could you ask of company. They are the best and I can't recommend them enough. .

Their quote was the best compared to other places. We paid a third of the total when we met and decided to go with them. The weather was still snowy, so they came out a few weeks later and began the installation. It took a total of 2 days and everything went fairly smooth. They also rebuilt the area under our furnace which was helpful because there was a small leak.

Overall: They sent a guy out the same day I called, which impressed me. The technician was friendly, punctual, and professional. I, however, am an engineer, and have spent a good deal of time investigating the performance of my system. I knew that I could shut registers to (slightly) increase my airflow, I was looking for a professional opinion on the performance of my HVAC and any solutions beyond the obvious. Since I didn't get anything beyond the obvious I felt like the service was a waste of my time and money. The only other thing he suggested was installing a booster fan, which was only mentioned after some prodding on the way out, but otherwise he didn't actually do anything for me for the $100 that I paid, which was irritating. Perhaps there was a miscommunication in what I had asked them to do? Price: Considering that they didn't really do anything, I gave them a C. Should have at least tuned up the furnace for that price. Quality: He didn't really investigate the HVAC system (i.e. are there hidden blockages, leaks, bad design?), which is what I wanted. His recommendations were things I had already thought of, so not really useful to me. Responsiveness/Punctuality/Professionalism Otherwise they were quick to get out, on time, friendly, and professional.

Called Goff on Wed. That afternoon I met with them and they had a written proposal ready with several options. I made my selection and they had an appointment available to replace the furnace and air conditioner that Friday. Three workers arrived on time and they went to work. They replaced both units, replaced the old water valve for the humidifier, replaced the thermostat, removed the old equipment, and cleaned up both inside and outside. The entire operation took about 5-5 1/2 hours. They exceeded my expectations and it was a quality installation. These guys know what they are doing. If you are thinking of getting a new furnace and/or air conditioner, you absolutely can not go wrong with Goff! Thrilled with the results.

This is the second time we have used Goff to install a furnace and air conditioner. Our house is a very old house and the second story did not have any duct work so there was technically no heat or air up there. Goff installed a new furnace and air for our main level of the house a few years ago. They did such great work cleaning up the plenum and installing that system we decided to call them back again for the second story. They first installed all new ducts, one by each window. Then ran all the lines and laid more insulation in our attic because this furnace was going to be in the attic. They ran all the gas and electric lines to the second story. They also put the furnace in a large plastic pan that way if something ever went wrong in the future it would catch the water and drain it outside so it wouldn't ruin the ceiling in our house. Finally they installed the furnace and air conditioner. Everything is a very professional and clean look. The guys that worked on the project were all very nice and completed this project in about a week.

I liked the fact that they gave me a pretty close estimate regarding when they would be at my home, then called when they were actually on the way. Since I work close to home, this means I could stay at work until they called.

Goff Heating & Air Conditioning has been awesome. It's been a while but they're really good. It's been a while but they're always really responsive and they were great. They were on time, professional and explained everything well. When you call, they're friendly. They send you updates and stuff for specials and all that stuff. They got everything done in a timely manner. In the very beginning, there was issue and they were out there within like the same day.

After having several days of furnace trouble, and having my previous heating company check the furnace, I was told the computer board had to be replaced for $950.00. A neighbor checked the furnace and did get it working, but was unsure how long it would last. The old furnace was 18 years old and 80% efficiency. Calling Goff at the suggestion of a neighbor who was also their customer I made an appointment for an estimate. Goff had a special off season price on a new 96% efficiency furnace which was designed to keep their employees busy thru the winter. i signed a contract to have the furnace and a air purifier plus a humidifier installed for a total price of $3771.00 which included a gas company rebate of $220.00. The installation was scheduled for the following monday. The installation crew arrived at 8:30AM (on time) and left at 1:30PM. The furnace is working fine. The contract also included a 10 year free parts and labor agreement and 2 years of maintenance for both the furnace and the air conditioner, which they did not replace. Needless to say I was very satisfied with the total installation and price.
