Paul Ewing performance was very good and he completed the tile job on time. The bathroom was very small at 27 square feet which made it difficult to move around. We made arrangements that I would procure the tile and supplies and Mr. Ewing would procure the shower curb and misc supplies required to build the shower curb on site. Mr. Ewing installed one inch square matte tile, built the shower curb and allowed for a slight sloping in the shower area to the drain.
Description of Work: Installed floor tile in bathroom and shower including building a shower curb

He is great for handyman work. He is the cheapest in the area and is competent. I would recommend him. He will be my go to handyman guy for small projects that I have coming up. The tile that he replaced was two feet by two feet in area.
Description of Work: Ewing's Remodeling replaced some tile in the bathroom. He cleaned the door to make it fit better. He also fixed a sink drain.

We called Paul and he gave us an estimate that we thought was way too high but he called back later to offer a more reasonable price (still a little high). We agreed on a price for his labor (we supplied the material), a start date and an estimated completion date. To our disappointment the day before he was suppose to start the work he called and said he was still working on another job and couldn't start the work for another week. He did the work but it took him about a week or two longer than he stated. The work he did was fair I say this because when I looked over the work before issuing the final payment I failed to look in some of the closets and ceilings, and later found that they were not painted or painted well enough to cover the markings that were there. Overall, the work quality was fair but not totally satisfied with the work for the price because we had to pay another painter finish the work that wasn't done and/or done to our satisfaction.
Description of Work: We had a rental property that we needed to have the interior painted, and two faucets replaced (bathroom & kitchen sink) and a few other miscellaneous items to get the house ready for rent.
We had a great experience. The job took a little longer than hoped (the tiles we chose weren't the quickest to install), but was still finished within our time limit. Bathrooms are always a big job, but the quote was reasonable. Paul catered to all our requests. We've used him before and will do so again in the future. Recommended!
Description of Work: We had our small bathroom gutted (walls, shower surround, fixtures, floor) and replaced. Tiling, paintwork, new sink installed, new fixtures, wainscoting. Also had backsplash installed in kitchen (subway tile).

We had a wonderful experience with Paul Ewing. He came out quickly for an estimate, and gave it on the spot (some companies we contacted never got back to us). Initially, we just needed him for some bathroom improvements, but when we saw that his skills and expertise extended well beyond that, we asked him to help out with our kitchen remodeling. He is a good, efficient, and honest worker, and did his best to fit around our schedule. His quotes are extremely reasonable, and he sticks by them (even if the job takes a little longer or needs a little more work than he expected). The price we paid included many of the materials (except some of the bigger things like the cabinet, kitchen sink, and faucet). We had a quote for some of the jobs done by Paul from another contractor that was twice as much. All-in-all, we are very happy customers. We are planning to use him in the near future to do a larger remodel of our bathroom as well as some backsplash tile work in our kitchen.
Description of Work: Changed out bath drain. Fixed problem with toilet flush. Removed old laminate kitchen countertop (approx 30 sq ft) and prepped for granite countertop installation (reinforced many areas). Removed dead cabinet and installed lazy susan cabinet. Installed Dishwasher and dishwasher end panel. Installed toe kick. Installed cast iron double kitchen sink and 4-piece faucet. Installed ice maker (hooked to basement).

Perfectly. He fixed both doors in just a few minutes. (I had thought I would need to buy a new door.)
Description of Work: This particular time, we called Paul Ewing to help with a pocket door that needed adjustment and another door with a new high-tech entry lock that wasn't closing correctly because it needed adjustment on the strike. He came over quickly, finished it in no time, and charged us so little that it is almost embarrassing to put it down. But I should add that over the years, we have used Paul for many jobs in two houses: remodeling a bathroom, turning two small rooms into a wonderful great room (and moving the weight-bearing beam into the attic in order to have the room unfettered and free), putting in a fence and gate around our deck, plumbing, and, soon, a major redoing of our library, which has suffered damage over the years from winter freeze, among many other small and not-so-small jobs. Paul is competent, friendly, knowledgeable about virtually everything when it comes to fix-ups, and very reasonable.
