Description of Work: I was going to have my basement waterproof. The person told me it would cost about $12,000-$32,000 to do the job. I declined the service and called another company called" Nova". The person from Nova was very polite and Honest. It was going to cost $800 to fix the problem in my basement; if the situation wasn't fixed. He told me to clean out the gutters and remove the underground down sprout and let the water run off onto my grass,and see if that fixes the problem. If it doesn't fix the problem then he will fix the foundation in the basement.

Description of Work: Everdry solved the water infiltration in my crawl space. The work was performed with minimal disruption to the home. All debris was removed and a thorough cleanup done. 1 year since the work was completed and there has not been a drop of water in the crawl space. I would recommend this company highly.

Description of Work: I went to ZooBoo and signed up for a drawing and they sent someone our to do a "Free" estimate. He told us that the estimates usually cost $150. This was not true. Later I looked them up on line and the estimates are free. He spent about 1 1/2 to 2 hours inspecting our crawlspace. When he finished he had pictures and told us we had multiple problems and a level 4 (on a scale of 1 to 4) hazardous biogrowth. He said it was the worse case of mold he had ever seen. His first estimate was $31,000, a second of $21,00 and a third of $19,000 but because we had been to ZooBoo and are seniors he could reduce it to $16,590. They would do less work but it would be acceptable and safe. He had us thinking we were going to die. we signed a contract. We cannot believe we did that. The next day we called our insurance agent to see if any of this was covered. She said, "no" and do not deal with Everdry. She gave us the number of someone for a second opinion. We called him and he came out and told us we had some water problems but NO mold. We had two other companies come to inspect for free and they both said we did not have any mold. They offered to do the waterproofing but did not require a down payment or contract until the work was finished and we were totally satisfied. They would do the entire crawlspace for less then half of what Everdry was asking. We called Everdry to cancel and they kept putting us off. We have 72 hours to cancel. We stopped payment on the check and called them multiple times. We personally took the cancellation notice to the office because our time was running out. He finally came to our house on the 4th working day to finish the cancellation.

Description of Work: Had a similar experience with the quote. Salesman would only come when both myself and my spouse were at home. He spent two hours with us explaining all of the "problems" in our basement despite only two minor leak locations, and at the end of that, quoted us $20,000 for a full water management system, which he claimed was the only thing that would really work for us. We got the soft pressure to agree right away to get the "on-call" discount and various other cost savings measures that would get the price down to the high teens. The real problem is that the salesman's proposed approach involved digging up all around the foundation outside the house to lay drainage tile, which is IMPOSSIBLE at our home because the driveway concrete runs the full length of one side of the house and paver bricks run the full length of two other sides. There was no way to do the work he was proposing and no cost adjustment in the quote for this fact. I called another (Angie's List recommended) contractor and got a quote for $750 because there was really only one crack that needed to be filled.

Description of Work: They dug around the outside of the house and put in new drain tiles. They also dug around the inside to put drains in and install a sub pump.

Description of Work: THEY BROKE UP CEMENT IN THE BASEMENT SO THEY COULD PUT IN A SUMP PUMP AND PUT IN A DRAIN PIPE. THEY HAD TO HOOK IT UP TO A NEW DRAIN LINE IN THE HOLE THEY HAD DUG OUTSIDE THE HOUSE. THEY WIRED THE SUMP PUMP AND POURED THE BASEMENT FLOOR CEMENT.
