The operation of the door was explained to me, and I now know how to adjust the electronic thingy-dos at the bottom of the supports so that the seeing-eye on one side can communicate with the receiver on the other side and tell the door it is all right to close.

The job was completed quickly and efficiently.

I called Dave, the owner of Alpha Door Service, this morning about a problem with my garage door. He arrived within two hours of my call. It turned out to be a broken spring which he was able to fix right away. He was very thorough, explaining the repair needed. He also showed me the parts he replaced before he cleaned up. Called Dave to come take a look at my garage door that had been acting up during the winter and suddenly refused to open with the garage door opener. He called back and said he was on his way back home (lives in my area) and would swing by to take a look. He found that one of the parts was needing replaced and offered to do the work right then since he was there and actually had the part with him. The total time for him to fix my garage door was about 1/2 hour. I was (and still am) so pleased with his service, responsiveness and honesty. The unit I have has been with the garage since I bought the house (14 years ago) and when I mentioned a new one to him, he told me that I did not need to spend that much money because what I had could be fixed a lot less expensively. That move right here told me about how conscientious he is as a business man; he could have taken the money and installed a new unit, but instead chose to let me know there was nothing wrong with the one I had. He even installed a new light-bulb for me (the one I had was not energy efficient nor high enough wattage to see in the garage). I would and will use him and his company for all future garage door needs.
