The father of the son who runs the company came to our house to give us a free estimate. We'd had some leaks so we knew we needed to get a new roof. At first he assumed that the roof would cost 6000, but during the estimate time he went up to the roof to make sure, then found the second layer of shingles and rotted wood, which put the price to 9000 (later they found the third layer of shingles, which they didn't charge us for!) He gave us a thick stack of references and recommendations and showed us a few place his company had worked on in the area. Once we agreed on the price, he was ready to go and had roofers at our house within the week. They had the whole thing done within 3 days and were super nice. They found out that the crumbling chimney needed work, and since they were up there already, we okayed it. We love our new roof. It's nice to not have to worry about leaks, and everyone tells us our house looks brand new.

We contracted with AJM to roof our barn. We were promised a crew and two men showed up. They tore the entire barn roof open, instead of the section they were working on. They left the whole thing open for 3 days, even though we provided an enormous tarp to put over it. The barn had been needing a roof and spring storms had torn several holes in it. The two men that the AJM owner sent out complained and whined the entire time. The younger of the two even asked us to purchase beer for him. In 3 days barely a quarter of the barn was shingled. There is a lump on one side of unknown origin and nail heads can be seen from the ground. After complaining about the speed of work, and the quality; the owner brought a larger crew and the job was completed in two days. We also had siding put on the house by the company. Work done by a man named Mike, who works for the company, was good. The initial estimate for the siding work changed halfway through the job, after the person named Aron, who we were dealing with had his father come out to our house. Then we were told that soffitt and facsia had not been included in the estimate. The price then increased by several thousand dollars. Facsia and soffitt were not nailed in properly and have since started falling off. A board was nailed into the roof, improperly, to hold their ladders up to the dormers. The business card we have says they are a BBB member, but the complaint we filed with the BBB was not responded to by the company and BBB does not recognize them as a member. We are convinced that any reference the company has were formed when the father of Aron ran the company. We filed a complaint with the Attorney General which was returned with the company's response. It was filled with lies and slanders. He accussed us of being Scammers, because we refused to pay the final bill until the issues created by his company were corrected (air conditioner dented, nail heads and lump in the barn roof, holes in the house roof from boards, soffitt not nailed in correctly), however, his attitude, soddy work, and complaints about having to drive so far (to our property) convinced us that he would not fix any issues to our satisfaction.
