Dave's Drywall

Description of Work: Called for estimate and Dave made appointment to come out. He showed up an hour early. Looked at tape ceiling repair and a couple nail pops. Agreed on price and day to start work. Called night before said he had flu and was canceling job. Made no offer to reschedule I was very disappointed

Description of Work: We needed Dave's skill to repair in crack in our textured ceiling that was about ten feet long. Dave used a caulking gun to inject the crack with caulk and used his finger to blend in the texture. It will look better if I get around to painting the repair.

Description of Work: Dave came and agreed to do our ceiling in our garage and I had talked him down from his asking price of $900 to $600. He arrived and started on time but after the one day of work came back on the second day and said he was having a "nervous problem". He packed up and left the job and did not come back. I did not lose anything on the job but was kind of shocked to see someone just cease work without a satisfactory explanation. I called him over the next few days(3) to see if he was planning on ever returning but he never answered his phone again. I was ok with his taking a days seeing as he is 73 years old, but would have liked to talk to him to find out what had happened. Dealing with him was essentially a waste of time.

Description of Work: Dave came out to home to give an estimate on ceiling repair in finished basement due to water damage from plumbing contractor. He seemed confused most of the time he was at home and balked at the scope of the job, which was nothing out of the ordinary. He then told me that he is not, nor has ever been bonded or insured. Big red flag for me. The repairs have to be done because of a contractor who actually IS bonded and insured, which is how this repair is going to be paid for. Not willing to have a contractor in my home who is not bonded/insured. Did not hire.

Description of Work: Repaired drywall in basement. Did a nice job. Cleaned up after himself. Showed up as expected. I think the price was fair for the job done.

Description of Work: We had cracks where the wall met the ceiling and several places where the tape had cracked. He took out the bad places and replaced them where necessary and just mended others. Everything looked as good as new when he finished. We have used Dave for bigger projects in the past and have been very pleased. He did a great job this time also.
