Tom Corlette Concrete LOC

Description of Work: We had a new construction home completed in 2010. Mr. Corlette's company poured large driveway pad, sidewalk and patios. Our back patio is elavated and sits on a brick wall. In fall of 2011 we noticed it was sinking and starting to bust up. We contacted Mr. Corlette to come back and look at. He stated the wrong kind of back fill was used and we would have had to request for concrete to be rebarred into foundation (which it was not). After several other contractors looked at, our understanding was that the concrete should have been rebarred to the foundation as industry standard. The entire porch needs to be torn out and redone. Mr. Corlette was contacted so many times, I cannot even count anymore. He stated he would work with us to fix problem last fall. Needless to say, Mr. Corlette stopped returning my calls and never attempted to fix. Now, we are having to pay someone else to tear out and fix. Our porch has fallen at least six inches and has cracks where there should not be. The brick wall has actually busted up as well from the weight of sinking concrete. We didn't expect it to be fixed for free, but did expect a break to help fix a problem contractor helped create by not adding rebar to concrete pour.

Description of Work: excavated, prepared site and poured concrete for a new patio and inside floor of an out building on our farm.
