ADAMS GLASS & GARAGE DOORS

These guys came out to do an estimate and stated they needed a glass sample to get the correct thickness. They broke off a chunk and left glass particles and glazing all over my carpet and window sill. I figured they would be more professional on the install so I let it go and cleaned it myself. When they were installing the window there was so much “pounding” and struggling, I was concerned, but I figured they knew what they were doing. After the install I went to check the work. There was old glazing all over in my bushes and on the ground that never got cleaned up, as well as old glazing and glass shavings all over my carpet and window sill. Upon inspection of the install, I noticed ridiculous amounts of silicone just pumped into the frame around the window and oozing out. THEN… I discovered the reason for all the pounding. The shims that the window were resting on were almost a half inch wider that the thickness of the window, and as a result, the inside aluminum frame was bowed in over 3/8 of an inch. I also noticed that they had broken another smaller window while installing the large one. I called them and they said “no problem we’ll be out to fix it. When they came out to look at it, they said, “Oh that won’t be a problem”. I stated that it would be a big problem as over time it would just be a collection trough for dirt, and I would have to clean it out. “Well we’ll just fill it with silicone.” That’s when I knew for sure I had the wrong company. I explained how that was in no way shape or form acceptable. So after an hour of more pounding, they made the gap half the size it was and they said that was the best they could do. I asked them about the broken window. They said they had another job out his way in a couple weeks and that they would “stop by and pop in” a new piece of glass”. Six months have gone by and I still haven’t heard from anyone. During the second visit I mentioned that it was unfortunate that they may lose money on this job... He joked "Oh we lose money on all our jobs"...sadly, that may not be a joke after all. On a positive note, they did have the lowest price. So if price is the main concern, these are your guys for sure.
