Overall the workmanship was rather impressive, though he had to coordinate the roofing application with his gutter/downspout crew. They worked diligently and the owner was quite focused on "increasing the breathability of our attic" the ventilation that would remain with the new roofing. Our biggest issue has been with follow up after the sale. My wife called repeatedly for them to pick up left over materials and their business sign that remained for weeks after completion of the job. His package also includes a guaranteed inspection at 6 months. We called NUMEROUS times to arrange this and ask about getting snow guards applied over her driveway, back patio, and air conditioner. (My wife had been warned that other homeowners had gotten metal roofs and during the winter had heavy loads of snow/ice slide off onto the top of their A/C units and damage them--so we specifically asked to have them come back and install these. They were also discussed as part of the original quote.) After 4-5 calls made by my wife (to an answering machine), and me driving to a couple of their listed addresses ( the one I found on State Street in Columbus is abandoned and decrepit looking), I finally got a call back from a woman at the business saying that "he'd been by to see the house" unannounced to us. "He'll make his rounds and get the ladder out and check the roof---you don't have to be there," is what I was told. (So what if we wanted to talk to him about any concerns that had developed?) There was no card, note, nor any indication left (like hanging on our door knob perhaps?) to confirm he'd stopped by, and NO mention of the snow guards. If it weren't for this terrible follow-up after the sale, I'd give them an A rating. We called them to do the metal roof because they'd replaced our original shingle roof 20 years ago. Now it seems all he wanted to do was boast about how many metal roofs they're applying and the size of jobs they're filling for local apartment complexes. This interaction left us with the feeling that it's "all about the sale, getting our money and moving on."
Description of Work: We had a metal roof applied over our pre-existing shingles, metal wrapping around a wood soffet and covering under the soffet, new gutters and downspouts (sub-contracted to someone else) and insulation blown into the attic.

They had to reschedule twice before they actually did the service. When they came out to do the job they seemed to know what they were doing and were efficient. The roof doesn't look bad but they caused damage to my gutters. They have been unresponsive towards me in terms of fixing the damage.
Description of Work: They striped off an old roof and put on new shingles.

Description of Work: MK was the lowest bid received for a new roof for my house. They were contracted in May, but asked to wait until I had several sizable trees removed from my property. This finally happened in September and the roof was finally applied in November. The crew spoke little English, did not install the agreed upon amount of ridge vent, and upon departure left two areas which leaked during the next rain. I contacted Mr. Mason about the short ridge vent and he indicated that the vent would be added to on each end - but it never happened. The leaks in my kitchen and one bedroom were controlled by some foul smelling substance that was applied in the attic to the underside of the roof. I tried to contact Mr. Mason at least ten times in the weeks following this work and my messages were never returned. In the interim, I have had two contractors working on my roof- one to clean the gutters and install a flat porch roof, and another to repair a leak in a valley that Mr. Mason's crew installed incorrectly. These two crews found several errors and oversights that were part of MK's poor performance. Please be very careful when dealingwith this company

I wouldn't recommend them. It was favorably recommended but they didn't do the job. They didn't complete the job and didn't take my calls.
Description of Work: They did work on our porch's roof.
