Reichelt PlumbingWe recently had a Reichelt Plumber out to fix a leak in gas line. When the guy showed up he didn’t even have the required tool to check. He was called specifically for that reason. He wanted to go back and bring but said it will be on our time and the mileage plus the $40.00 charge. Fortunately NIPSCO GUY happened to be around and he found the small leak. Reichelt didn’t do anything except to cut a small piece of drywall to tighten a pipe per NIPSCO guy. After an hour of standing and doing nothing he handed a bill for $254.00. We had to use our credit card to get rid of the guy ASAP. Otherwise if you let him stay in our house any longer we may have to sell our house to pay these money hungry thieves. BEWARE of this unscrupulous company STAY AWAY.

This company was originally contracted to put in a clean out station. They removed a bush that the claimed was near the pipe which was supposedly under the sunroom. After doing this they said we have the wrong spot. They said they would be generous and not charge us for their MISTAKE. Now they said would have too move a pipe in the crawl space and put new sewer line too either the main sewer or the old line. Original estimate $2000 new estimate $4000 to possible $8000. After connecting too old line without rotting the line or running a camera too check for other blockages they ran water and flushed said everything fine. Cost $4400. Within week line gurgling and draining slow. Thought maybe it was new pipes. They came back after the holiday and said that there was line problems beyond the area they didn’t check during excavation. Now they demand $3000 too $5300 to finish the job. The owner Rob Sues came to my home admitted they didn’t follow correct procedures on original work, but said I would still have to pay amount listed above. He said he was giving a $45.00 hr. discount and no trip charge. This work wasn’t done right, and now they want money to finish their mistakes. I would recommend you run don’t walk if you see this company coming. Do not use this company unless you want to overpay for shoddy work.

They were very punctual, fast and professional. Would use them again.

They have done well. They are reliable, when they give you a price they stick to it.

Service tech could not unclog. Ended up breaking a piece of the toilet, and pulling my towel bar out of the wall. Said I needed a new toilet. I went somewhere else for a new toilet. In the past I have always been extremely happy with Reichelt and recommended them to my employer (a construction company). But, I have since changed my mind.

Hubby had caused small leak in pipe by trying to repair situation himself & had already rigged it so that water would drip into shower stall instead of down between the walls. Plumber repaired leak w/coupler between pipes. No extensive repair required - no major tearing up of walls required. Didn't give us written estimate up front but initially orally quoted $950 for job - Plumber cut huge hole in shower surround (charged $65 for plate to cover it), cut hole in closet wall to access pipes ($18), changed shower handle & put up cheap chrome showerhead - charged $700 for those (didn't TELL us $700 cost upfront as we wouldn't have authorized), and we don't think we even NEEDED new handle as current one was working fine. We immediately REPLACED the cheap showerhead with the nice handheld shower unit we previously had there. We gave plumber a $25 online coupon, but cost magically ballooned up to an even $1000 after coupon. Lots of money but figured if it was totally fixed, it was worth it. Didn't realize hot/cold water was NOT fixed until tried to shower next morning and SCALDED myself with total lack of cold water in shower. Also discovered plumber had DRILLED RIGHT THROUGH wall from inside of shower stall. Not into closet, into bathroom wall - custom paint job, no touch-up paint. Hubby called company. We waited nearly a week for plumber to return and say they had NO IDEA what was wrong as we had cold water in rest of bathroom fixtures. Asked them what they would do about damage to our wall - Plumbing supvr. told us to CUT A HOLE IN OUR WALL AND TAKE THE PIECE TO PAINT STORE to have them match the paint. I said where should I cut this piece from? He said CLOSET. I told him CLOSET IS PAINTED WHITE. I am NOT going to cut a hole in my WALL to fix this myself! No other solution from them so now I am stuck repairing/repainting bathroom too. Plumber couldn't figure out why we didn't have cold water in shower, left & called later to give us quote of around $1350 for additional work (said they didn't know what was wrong & would either tear up our upstairs bathroom floor OR downstairs bathroom ceiling to try to figure out the cause but would NOT repair anything they tore up.) We feel we were cheated as we told them initially when we contracted them that the main problem was lack of cold water in shower stall in addition to leak. They ONLY repaired leak for $1000. When we paid the bill, we were led to believe EVERYTHING was repaired. Shower is absolutely unusable at this point unless we want to scald ourselves as there is NO cold water AT ALL. We were willing to pay them HALF as that is all they fixed but charge card company says we have to pay them all as hubby signed the payment receipt. We TRUSTED them, believed they REPAIRED the problem, but they took our money & left our house KNOWING that we had no cold water in the shower - they even commented on the bill (illegibly) that "Customer has low flow pressure on cold side" but they did NOT repair it. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

Had to use several types of routers. Also used the camera to make sure it was clean. Did a good job, but was very costly. I have used them in the past.

The plumber was very good and I have used them before. I have been using them for a minimum of 5 years now. They got the job done in about 30 minutes. He started the dishwasher to make sure it still was not leaking once he repaired it.

They came on time and told me what they going to do. they installed a new single head tub, shower faucet with smitty plate, cut 2 big holes on the wall in closet behind valve and drill a hole in tile wall. The job was well done but it costed too much.

I was happy with my services at Reichelt Plumbing until i found out how much it was going to cost. When the plumber came out to review the work, he automatically started writing up the costs. He claimed what he had to do in my kitchen was "rebuild" the faucets. Now when somebody tells you the have to "rebuild" something. What comes to mind? Labor intensive remake of the current structures correct? I actually had other work I needed done but because the quote, $220 dollars was so high, I decided to cancel the other work. Initially he wanted over $500 to do both jobs. Becausee I travel and have little time and he was already here, i agreed to do the work for the faucets. It took him less than 20 minutes to pop out two plastic pieces that probably cost the company less than $5 to replace and put the faucets back on. I felt like a complete fool and he just smiled and asked for the money. I will never ever use this company again. They will smile in your face while they hold you up for a job that no way should have cost me $220 bucks.

Price was reasonable he worked very hard did a great job

They found the leak and told us how to save money by repairing it ourselves. It was due to a poor seal around the tub. He said they could do it but gave us the option of doing it ourselves. They could have charged us a lot for a little work but was honest about it. I would recommend them to anyone.

Cost of replacing the faucet, plus something else. The turn knob was rusted out by the pipe under the bathroom sink faucet. The estimate was 463.00. I thought they were going to replace it with GOLD! I bought the faucet, but will not call them again.

Everything went exceptionally well. I had multiple scheduling conflicts the day the service was provided and Reichelt Plumbing made certain the job was done at a time convenient for me. The employees were professional and courteous. The price quoted was the price I paid. I have no hesitation in calling them again.

They said they would get back to me, but they never did. I called them, but they took a long time to return my calls. The person they sent out was inexperienced to finish the job. It was never finished.

Hot water flow to kitchen sink was down to a trickle. The pipe they cut out was blocked solid, they showed me the run of pipe. They were done so fast that I asked if they were coming back. Great work, very professional and friendly.

The power flush toilet was installed properly, however, in a few weeks, it did not flush too well. I called Reichelt and the guy came and asked me for my plunger and he plunged the toilet vigorously. Then it started working better. He tells me that although the toilet is a power flush toilet, my sewer pipes to the street may need to be cleaned as well. I would have like to know this information before I purchased a $700 power flush toilet with a purchased warranty too. (I found out that Reichelt was the plumbing company that was used by the builder in my subdivsion in the 1990s.)

We got an estimate from another company. They wanted $6,500 plus another $1,500 to replace the sidewalk. This was only to replace the part of the sewer line that sank. We contacted Reichelt Plumbing and they came out right away. They ran a camera through the sewer line to verify the issue. They gave us an estimate to replace the entire sewer line from the house to the street instead of the small section that sank to prevent another problem in the future. They estimated the work would cost around $4,000 to $4,500 plus $500 to replace the sidewalk which they would do in the summer. They did three times the work, used better materials and installed a cleanout outside the house. They got all the required permits and had their work inspected by the CIty Inspector before they covered up the hole. The biggest issue they had to deal with was the weather which can't be controlled. If we had the work done in the spring or summer, they could have done the same job in less time. Even though the weather was not the best, they still did a great job and came in way under budget. I would use them again for all my plumbing needs. All of the workers are licensed plumbers instead of just someone working under the license of the company owner. This way you know you are getting the job done right the first time.

Called them for service since the valve on my water heater was leaking to the point I had to turn off the water. To be fair, they were extremely prompt and resolved our problem quickly. My Wife was home and called me when they left. I'm not happy the bill was over $400 for less than 30 minutes of work. The parts they replaced were about $50 (total) and easily spun off and back on. I immediately called the main office for an explanation of the bill since it wasn't very clear. They explained that part of the bill was for "insurance" if something went wrong with the repair over the next year. They also explained that the bill would have been higher if I didn't purchase the insurance. It's awful hard to dispute after the fact and what's done is done, but it still seems a bit excessive.

The service man suggested the problem might be with the pipe going into the house. It turns out he was correct. He was honest because he told me he likely couldn't help me, but he would have to charge me a good amount to investigate further. I decided to not pursue the situation with him because the other company that had installed the new septic system needed to give me an explanation of why I now had a new problem with a new septic system.

Punctual, fast and knew exactly what to do. Would use again and have.
