DO NOT USE. The technicians have no knowledge or very poor knowledge on gas fireplaces. Will damage your existing fireplace and not tell you.

They did our chimney, and they did a re tuck-pointing on the chimney.

Upon arrival the tech "inspected" the chimney by laying down by the fireplace for about 60 and looking up into the chimney. That and a quick visual of the firebox is what Judd & Son calls a full chimney inspection. I was told that the liner was bad and I would need it redone at a cost of $4,800. I asked some additional questions and was assured the liner was bad from top to bottom. What makes this interesting is that about 10 years ago this same company rebuilt the top of the chimney. When I asked the tech about this he said they "typically" do not remove the liner which is why the entire liner is now bad. One problem with that, I recall that the clay liner was removed and was on the ground when the chimney was rebuilt. That means, unless they did poor work, the only portion of the liner that is bad would be the bottom...contradicting what I was told. I reached out to several other companies all of which told me the only you can determine the severity of a liner issue would be through a smoke test, a camera, or a combo of both. Bottom line, I am nearly certain Judd & Son gave me an estimate for repair that applies to most homes my age most of the time vs a true custom quote for the exact condition present on my home. I leave you with this, if the liner typically breaks down over time why on earth would they have no mentioned this 10 yrs ago during the rebuild? Why on earth would one rebuild a chimney around a liner this close to failure? More questions than answers here....Never again.

Very good. Sweepers kept area very clean during a dirty job.

They came out and gave an estimate but would not do the work so I just paid a service fee. I was not happy at all with them. They were supposed to do a chimney sweep, but they ended up not doing anything and just gave me a quote. They could have given me a better quote and better explained the fees up front. I had no prior experience with them.

Very well, also went the extra mile to fix the blower fan. Professional, prompt, friendly and will definitely call them again for any problems.

The job went really really good. We will definitely be calling them again for more jobs that we need to have done around our house. If you are looking for good service and good prices then I would definitely call them.

They honored a quote they had given me a year prior. They were very timely and very professional. The work took one day and took place both inside and outside the home. They did a nice job cleaning up after themselves.

They were on time and professional. The person I talked to in the office was very personable and helpful. We also got an estimate to tuckpoint the front brick walk and the back brick porches, but will wait until next spring to do those.

The very pleasant phone dispatcher scheduled service, and due to weather, rescheduled service. The crew was on time, thorough, and did first class work. They were able to match the cement perfectly with a 16 year old brick's cement. Also, caulked wherever necessary. I'd highly recommend this company for tuckpointing work.

Beautiful, very nice work and they cleaned up everything well. I was not able to be there and didn't need to be. It looks like a new chimney!

I had 5 estimates 2 were close to Mr. Judd's, but Mr. Judd explained the work he was going to do more thorough, he made me feel confident in the type of work that he would do and all that needed to be done in order to prevent any problems of carbon monoxide in the house because of new chimney construction. He also explained that he would match as close as possible the texture and the color of my previous brick. The next few weeks asking and receiving literature and more information on the procedures that was to be performed by the very courteous and knowledged chief of staff Mrs. Lucie I chose JUDD & SONS CHIMNEY SERVICE. The mason and helper were ultimate professionals, they set up the scaffolding with care as not to damage any parts of my house or roof. the mason was the best tradesman I ever have seen. it was a pleasure interacting and watching him work he is a master at his craft. in the end I received a work of art in my chimney it is a pleasure to look at and I am sure it will last long as the house. in all thank you all involved I am very pleased with the great work you have done on my home. if I need any of your services I will surely call JUDD & SONS CHIMNEY SERVICE.

3 men arrived, inspected and swept the chimney. They were curteous, clean and punctual. I would recommend them.

When they showed up, they were very polite and they explained what they were doing and why.

Joe came out to clean and checked our chimneys. He took his time and answered all my questions. They kept everything clean and removed their shoes upon entering my home. I recently had a bad experience with Albert the Chimney Sweep and will now give all my future business to Judd and Son. I highly recommend them!

Came in and took his shoes off. They asked which door I wanted them to bring the vacuum cleaner through. They were most courteous and polite and concerned about getting my house dirty. He also inspected the chimney on the roof and said it was in great shape. the only thing that was different was the firebox looked sparkling clean! Nice gentlemen, I'd hire them again.

I called this company because we have just bought a house with a fireplace and we have never had a fireplace before. I was told it would be $89.00 for the inspection and they would tell me prices for any additional work that needed to be done. The technician told me it was clean and did not to be cleaned at this time. They inspected the chimney on the roof and reported it was in good condition. The glass door/screen was loose and he advised how i could secure it quite easily. Showed and explained the floor and other elements. I was impressed that he didn't try to sell me services that weren't needed. Definitely will call this company again when we need it cleaned or any other service.

The service provider came at the designated time, was courteous and thoroughly yet, quickly completed the job. The cost was quite fair for the job performed.

They had to work around our busy schedule and did an estimate on the services that was right on. The came to do the work as scheduled and on time and cleaned up everything. The receptionist was great and made sure everything was scheduled at a time that was convenient to us! Great service.

All in all I was satisfied with their performance and would hire this company again.

overall we would rate our experience as A++++. it's nice to hire someone so concerned with our piece of mind and has such great customer service from start to finish. we would and do highly recommend this company.
