I had to find a contractor which would be able to come to my home and repair someone elses screw up. Although, now I got screwed twice. This contractors name was displayed at the store where I purchased my doors. Jay, came to my home looked at the existing door knowing that there was alot involved he emailed me with his estimate. I had a few contractors come to my home but I liked his idea order a new door frame start from scratch .. He's HIRED.. Big mistake!!! I gave him his deposit of $250.00 along with $200.00 to order & pay for the new frame. The frame cost was $161.75 plus tax on the same receipt he used my money $40.00 difference to purchase items he needed which was not associated with my door installation. That takes alot nerve... He told me this would be a 6 hour job it took him 2 full 8 hour days and he still didn't do it right. The screen door is uneven, the felt does not meet with the door, at the top and bottom corners you can see sunlight!!! Can't wait till winter when I feel a nice cold draft oh maybe snow. The door does not close properly. My dead bolt plate is held on by one screw and I have one door hinge holding on by one screw..he didn't even seal the wood frame with caulk just left it... to much more to list. I am very disappointed with the workmanship and his lack of knowledge installing entry, screen doors and door frames. I would never recommend him nor would I ever use himAGAIN!!
Description of Work: Install new screen door, new door frame and replace the existing entry door.

This work is ongoing. We started with outside painting and repairs. When the weather no longer permitted outside work we had them move inside. They have been working steady for me since October. They are very wiling to work around our erratic schedule. We took some time off at Christmas to give all of us a chance to celebrate the holidays. They have bent over backwards to accommodate all of our requests. They have been very professional. I also consider them very reasonably priced! I would highly recommend them for any of your painting/remodeling needs. They will also be painting at least one of our bedrooms and remodeling our bathroom.
Description of Work: Exterior painting, shingle repair and other minor repairs. Interior painting, drywall replacement, corner protectors, closet headers, and new closet doors. The interior painting included 4 rooms and a hallway, plus 3 closets.

The guy’s name is Jason Mesman. His estimate was way too high to do the interior demolition. He didn’t charge me for coming out. We walked around and he gave me some ideas. It’s just that his interior demolition costed higher than the others that I had called. He was a little more expensive but at least he came out. I called some of the other people and I can’t remember who it was, but they didn’t even want to come out. They come out only if you really want to do something. This guy was willing to come out and he gave me a free estimate. The other guy gave me a higher estimate and he was emailing me. He was very persistent on his follow up which is good, and that’s good business sense. When I told him that I got two other estimates that were lower, and I gave him the amount but I did not tell him the company name, he then did lower his estimate. He was willing to negotiate and work with me. He’s very responsive. I will probably not use his services again in the future as I had a better flow with the guy from another company and I got a lower price there.
Description of Work: I got an estimate from All American Painting and Remodeling. I did not use his services. He came out and met with me, and gave me an estimate for interior demolition.

The providers' recommendation of the Sherwin Williams' "Deckscapes" semi- transparent stain to begin the project, was an EXCELLENT suggestion. Provider brought the stain chart to our home, and helped with the selection, allowing us a few days to make our decision. They purchased the materials and supplies for the job, including the stain. The quality, appearance and performance of the stain is very satisfying, and just what the homeowner wanted for the result. The preparation job of removing the previous solid color stain on the deck was much more involved than owner or provider expected when the job was contracted. We all thought that the old stain would come off with powerwashing, but that was not effective, even though much of the previous stain was peeling off already. The provdiers (Amy and Jay) worked laboriously and regularly with a variety of sanders to remove the existing stain. But they kept coming back every day to sand for a few hours, and even removed the spindles and handrails, pretty much dismantling the deck, except for the flooring. They took the loosened items to their home, and worked on them there, a better process than trying to do the job on site with vertical sanding on the railing spindles. This was an EXTREMELY tedious preparation, which accounted for 80% of the job, something that none of us expected in the estimate of pricing. About halfway through the job, the providers did request to increase the amount to be paid to them, and the owners agreed to their request. Other contractors might have walked away from this job, but Amy and Jay returned regularly for 6 weeks to complete the project. Their communication with the homeowners was frequent and effective - daily when needed. Often we traded emails at night, which put everyone's expectations in writing, and minimized misunderstandings. The workers were cheerful, helpful, non-obtrusive, and cleaned the working area nightly before going home. Some of the work associated with reinstalling portions of the railing which were dismantled owing to the complexity of removing the existing coating were not up to an "A" grade, but carpentry was not in the original scope, nor was it a stated expertise of the contractor. Instruction was needed from the homeowner for correct reinstallation, but the requested corrections were made promptly. Painting skills, job completion, and communications were satisfactory to the home owners. This was a job with some surpises and problems, and they handled it with good efforts, and tremendous fortitude. I think that these providers will complete any job they accept, and that their work efforts and ethics are worth recommending for any painting projects.
Description of Work: Sanded and prepped solid painted boards and newly installed cedar boards on 2nd level upper deck, painted underside of deck, sanded and stained deck support columns and bracing, spindles and stairs with Sherwin Williams "Deckscapes" semi-transparent stain. Power-washed, sanded and stained bridge with Sherwin Williams "Deckscapes" semi-transparent stain. Prepped, primed, and re-coated 8 Tiki torch brackets.
