Description of Work: When we first moved in Mr. Ambers was a very nice man, remained that way for a few months. After we moved in June of 2013 we didn't think to have the house inspected or take any pictures at the time. He had told us when moved he told us that the people had just moved out two weeks before. The only repairs he did when the others moved out was fix the roof. He told us it was all double insulated. Well him and his family would show up an announced with family and children burning yeast on our hill. He made this a habit. We started hearing less from Gerald and more from his wife Jennie. She was nice on some days then others we talked to her she was angry and just seemed insane. We had only been late on rent twice in the 10 months of living here, and it was paid a few days after the due date. Well on 4/26/14 a man and some woman we didn't know showed up on our property picking things up out of the yard. We asked them why they were here and they said Gerald sent them to get wood. We we told them by renters law he is suppose to give us 24 hour notice before him or anyone showing up here we also had know idea who they were. They left very angry. Twenty minutes later I'm driving down the road and Jennie swerves her truck into my Lane to pull me over. Started yelling at me when I stopped so I returned home. She started cussing us out in front of our three year old son calling us all sorts of names. We asked her to stop because he was watching her yelling and she said "I don't give f*** about him" told us we had three days to get out. we went inside and her and her brother in-law started mowing our yard (which our internet cable line was and we told her about it being there) we decided to call our parents because they knew more about the renters law and could help us. They had shown up telling us that we legally have at least 30 days after the eviction notice is given. My mother is a real-estate agent. She tried to tell then this and Jennie had lost it again. She was telling everyone we had threatened her life and a lot of things that didn't make sense. Well we all went back inside and left her alone. We all decided it would just be best to just leave. They waited with us to make sure she wasn't going to try to start anything again. After our parents left we were watching out the window and seen her go over our internet line three times before it finally cut. She came to side of our porch saying she didn't mean to. Well we had copied off the internet the renters law that she and her husband had broken many times. She started yelling and cussing again say "do you know who you f****** with" and tore up the paper. I told my boyfriend to just come back inside we can call the police. At that point before we came back in I told her she is going to have to replace that. She started yelling insane things to me, then this woman pull out a screw driver coming towards me with it calling me names. We got inside called our parents and the police. We filed a report with them and before they police could show up her husband (who wasn't here for any of it" picked up and the lawn mower up and took off. We had spoken to the police and they said the know a lot about these people and to just file a report. We haven't spoken to them since she tried to attack me with a screw driver. We legally are allowed I stay for another 30 days before we have to leave by law, but in this case we are feared for our health and safety of out family we decided to leave as soon as possible. These people never would fix anything. Made us pay for any wear and Tear that wasn't even caused by us most of the time. The floors are rooting in from years of decay. The winter was so bad we had to cover all windows and doors to keep the heat in and it still never got over 60 in the house. His "double installation" was two layers of paneling. This has to have been the worst place to live in and the worst people I've ever known. I highly recommend not renting from these people.
