Response from Window Genie of Northwest Indiana
The homeowner, was not misinformed. The Pellas were not discussed over the phone, just whether they were casement or double hung windows. We agreed to meet on a Wednesday but it rained and we rescheduled for Saturday, when we arrived the homeowner would not even come to the door, she said it was too busy of a day for her and to come back. When she called back the next week to reschedule, she says she had no recollection of anyone even being there. Even though my tech talked to her kids and her husband. When we did come back we did a physical count of the windows. Regular inside and out cleaning was $150, the Pella take aparts were more and were explained that if she wanted those done it would be an extra. We reschedule the job for the next Saturday. I reminded her that we would do a physical count of the windows and then see if there was anything that would change the price quoted over the phone. When we saw that the windows were Pella take aparts (where you clean in between the two panes of glass in addition to the normal cleaning) we gave her the revised price. She then sent us on our way saying we baited and switched her, which was not the case. We apologized over and over if she felt we did something wrong. This was not out intention. As my tech left the home, he was asked to call back in a couple of days to see if we still wanted to do the job. It was told to him, that even though we had to revise our price, we were still lower than the others who came to the home and quoted the windows. I apologize to anyone who thinks I may have done something wrong. It is my intention to be honest and do the best job for the fairest price. Please feel free to look at my other reviews or call me for any other references. I am have nothing to hide. We do a great job at a fair price, give a chance and you will believe.
