I needed a new cedar shake roof and a company that would stand behind their work

Sales person called me about a promotion to previous customers on gutters, siding, window installation etc. Since i had them install a new roof on my home the previous year, which i was happy with, so we set up an estimate time for gutters for which i was under no obligation to buy, but the estimate was free ,so what the heck... Estimator showed up at the appointed time, and gave me the initial estimate, the came the pressure sale pitch, if i bought them today, he'd knock off a few hundred dollars, but i wasnt ready to buy, then it was game on, he'd knock off a few more hundred dollars with the easy finance terms, again, I said just wanted the estimate and wasn't ready to buy yet, again, another couple of hundred, answer was still "not ready to buy"... finally, i said leave me a copy of your original estimate and I'll decide when im ready to buy, he said he'd e-mail me a quote....never received it.....

This is not the first post I am writing for this company. I have issues with this new roof leaking and causing damage to the inside of my house and garage. It's was close to impossible contacting Roger Lange in the past regarding having someone come out and repair the problem. The warranty that was given when I purchased this roof isn't worth the paper it's written on. Finally someone was sent out and climbed a ladder ans I was told the repair was supposedly repaired. I'm am still experiencing water leakage with black mold forming on the interior walls. I am seriously considering taking legal action.

I contacted 6 roofers from Angies List. I recieved quotes from 3. Roger Lange was out to inspect my roof and gave me a quote the same day. The other 2 that did quotes took over 2 weeks! Once we submited the contract and down payment sample boards were dropped off for our final color choice. Called 2 days later with our color and Roger told us he could start whenever we wanted.The day before the job we were called to confirm and they let us know when the cew would be there. Morning of work the crew showed up early and went straight to work putting down tarps and seting up. When finished they took all the trash and swpt the yard and driveway with a magnet for stray nails. Roof looks great and the crew was professional and hard working. I would recomend Lange to anyone!

Called them after a windstorm blew some shingles off my roof and was told someone would call me back. Never heard back so I hired someone else.

Overall very good service. Happy with quoting process, install went smoothly. Called to install something tehy forgot on day of install-scheduled a time and came back in a timely fashion with no issues.

I had this work done quite awhile ago. I apologize for not rating until now. Folks, all you need to know is that Lange Roofing is excellent! A great company to uno about!

I do not know anymore about the company because the project manager is the only person I interacted with, but if this is who they are using to represent their company then I hold no higher of an opinion of the company as a whole.

It went excellent, had the best price, and best timing of all the vendors I looked at. Was done on time.

Everything went well, especially considering the cold snap we were in. The roof looks great!

Keith was very professional and followed up with me many times. He explained the details of the product they were going to use and the process. However, we ended up deciding not to use them because they were the most expensive estimate.

Overall, very satisfied, arrived on time, did a great job, cleaned up afterwards, even made some minor repairs caused by the tear off process.

From the first meeting with Keith to the final inspection by Roger, the job happened exactly as they said it would. Keith my estimator, guided me thru the different types of roofs and the installation process without pressuring or trying to up sell the job. I decided to do a complete tear off of my old roof. This was a three day project with almost 3000 sq ft of roof. I decided on the complete GAF roofing system with the 50 year warranty. The first day was the roofing crew, 2nd fascia crew and on the 3rd day the gutter team. The roofing crew arrived exactly on time and was prompt getting started. They tarped my ramp deck and back door area to keep the debris clean up to a minimum and also moved my planters out of harms way. They brought a dump truck to collect the roof debris and laid wood sheeting down for the truck to back up on to protect the lawn. They started 7:30 and had the roof completed by 4pm. I have a satellite dish on the roof and was worried I would have to call DTV out to adjust the dish after they were done. We never lost reception the whole time they worked . They raked around the house to make sure there wasn't any debris or nails left. I was amazed at how quick they completed the roof. They did an amazing job on the clean up. I wish I could put a + on the A rating for the attention to detail the crew had to make sure the house was in better condition when they left than when they arrived. I've gotten compliments on how wonderful the new roof looks. The fascia crew arrived on time and was efficient in removing the gutters and fascia. The new fascia was installed very quickly. They replaced any old wood that was damaged. The gutter guys arrived on time on the third day. When they arrived we joked about racing the storm that was due that afternoon. They told me not to worry as they would be done long before the storm arrived. I couldn't believe how quick they were. And they did beat the rain. The whole job looks wonderful. A couple of hours after the gutter guys left, Roger arrived to inspect the job and make sure everything was done to his high standard and make sure I was completely satisified with the job.

I received a bid for this job from a company that had done a window replacement job recently. I told that company that I was going to get other bids. I was told that no other roofer would give a bid lower than theirs. I went on line to GAF website to see what roofers in my area were qualified by the company. Lange Roofing, LLC was a GAF Certified Elite Roofer. I contacted Lange Roofing with an online inquiry. Two days later I received a call from the owner of the company. He told me that he had come to the house and evaluated the job and would like to meet with me. At our meeting, the owner explained what they would do and how long it would take. He explained that there were two options regarding the quality of the shingles to be used and he bid the job with both of the options and indicated that the job would take 4 days. His bid was 3K lower than the previous bid with the higher quality shingle. I was very impressed with the owners professionalism and knowledge and accepted the high end bid. The big problem was weather. The Winter of '14 was brutal. After several weeks we decided the time was right. The crew appeared and went to work. During the job the deck was never exposed and the daily cleanup was exceptional. As the owner indicated, the job took four days. The end result: absolutely exceptional. just met with the owner today and received a copy of the 50 yr Material Warranty and 12 yr Labor Warranty. There is no doubt about it, if you need a new roof, this is the company you should contact for a bid.

|My wife cancelled her eyeglass appointment and I came home from work early to meet with him. About 1:30P:M my wife called his cell phone and he did not pickup so she left a voice mail as to please call or are you coming. I did the same at 2:30PM. No return call yet. I cancelled my subscription with Angie's a day later as I cannot trust your information.

His team was punctual and professional. The work was completed on time with little disruption to our daily lives and the clean up was through. The roof looks great and appears to be a quality job!

Great! Roger was very responsive on initial contact and in getting me the estimate even though it was a really busy time due to recent severe storms in the area. On the day of work, the crew showed up on time and completed all of the work that day. They were very friendly and the work is top-notch. I would definitely use them again!

He was excellent, the cheapest, very professional, they had a dirty job, I had a total tear off because I had a cedar shake roof, and I felt so sorry for them. They did an excellent job, and he was very patient with me because it took my mom and I a long time to decide color. He started when he said he was going to start and they cleaned up. I like them a lot. I recommend them to everybody that needs a roof.

Not good! Here are some of the problems we encountered: 1. Sept 2008: Leaks around light fixture in bathroom and in furnace room. 2. Nov. 2008: Leak in front hall. 3. Dec. 2008 and 2009: Leaks in kitchen ceiling. Lange Roofing did come out and try to address the above issues, but it took us MANY calls and even a certified letter to get them to respond to our complaints. There seemed to be no one in the office. No one seemed to be in charge of checking the answering machine. All leaks were finally fixed except for the leaks in the kitchen. Lange never was able to address that issue, and we just recently called another roofing company to come and check things out. I NEVER want to deal with Lange again. 4. At the time of the reroofing, we ordered and paid for gutter guards for the top level of our tri-level. We did not climb onto the roof; we assumed they were put in. One day in 2010 our handyman was on the roof and found that the guards had not been installed. We contacted Lange Roofing and we requested a refund, which was sent.

We had gotten several prices on a roof replacement. The price from Lange was the best and included the best warranty. The were prompt and very professional. We had a couple minor issues that were really not their fault and more related to the house structure and they were quick to respond to correct them. We will pleased with their service and the job they did.

We sought out seveal quotes from roofers. Lange was not the absolutel lowest - one was a few hundred dollars cheaprer. But Lange appeared to know what they were talking about, they left us material on shingles and gutter choices and were very specific on the different quality and what we would be buying. We worked with Keith . He was professional, returned calls and he and his crew did excellent work. We were also impressed at the job they did after putting on the roof and gutters - no nails, filings, scraps or other sharp items were left in the grass. Top flight from start to finish. I don't plan on needing another roof for a long time, but can recommend this company to anyone in NW Indiana who needs a roof or gutters.

,Everything went great. Shingles were delivered to our roof, it started to rain shortly after, and they came back the next morning and completed the job by early afternoon. They did a great job, and cleaned up thoroughly all around our house. I would highly recommend Lange Roofing again.

I would definitely recommend Lange Roofing to anyone that asks. If fact I recently called Roger about adding a couple more roof vents. He personally came out the following week and installed them. When he arrived I also asked him if he could paint the chimney flue. He said sure as he had paint in his truck. He completed both tasks in about 45 minutes.
