HOLLAND MATERIAL CORP

I called a few landscapers for bids, including Holland Landscaping. Thought about my decision, trying to figure out who I would choose. Some landscapers called back to followup, some did not. Holland was referred to me by two different individuals so I thought i was choosing someone I could trust. Mark the owner seemed pleasant, down to earth, an all around good guy. Appeared to be someone I could trust. He told me he would come to my home a few days before installation of berm to draw out placement in the yard. He did not show up, he did not call. I was not that concerned. His crew came out, did a great job, finished in one day. Overall I was pleased with the design but not the size. I thought it would be much larger. Not exactly as I had envisioned. If he had come out prior and drew out the plan in the grass, I could have voiced my concern. I asked Mark if planting trees/shrubs in early July would be a problem due to heat/sun, lack of water, He said no. Asked him if trees where warrantied for a year. Answer was yes. Well, a month later, 5-6 burning bushes died, as did the Xmas tree he planted. Holland moved my sprinkler heads directly behind one of the bushes. The Xmas tree died a month later and three months later it is still in my yard. Brown needles everywhere. Mark will not return my calls or letters to him, asking him to remove and replace the dead shrubs and trees. Not one time has he had the courtesy of returning my or my husbands numerous calls. We have called at least 10 times and I've written a letter to him. He is in our subdivision all the time cutting grass. Unfortunately, I work and am unable to catch him during the day. I feel like I've been robbed.
