Great, it was just a relief that the work was done and they did exactly what they said they would do.
Description of Work: We had an 8 foot long jagged crack ( at least 1 inch in width) on our garage exterior brick masonry and could see the whole entire side of our garage settling. It was so bad the side entry door would not even open due to the door jam settling too. I called three different vendors and chose Acculevel because they were the most informative about piering and they were professional. I checked on their progress during my lunch hour and was amazed at how much they went through to get the house level. When they were done you could not tell there had been a crack and they cleaned up after themselves - you could hardly tell they had been there. I would recommend them. They were friendly and courteous. They installed four piers and were done in a day.

It went pretty well. It was cold out, so the dirt outside was hard to deal with, but I didn't quite like how they replaced all of that. The service people were incredibly nice and did a pretty nice job. They had to lift the family room up almost three-quarters of an inch, and they did that okay. Overall, I am satisfied with their service. They told me that the flooring had readjusted itself to meet the depth at which the foundation had sunk. The floor joyces needed to be replaced (in one area of the house) and they would do that. I am considering using their services again.

AccuLevel gave an estimate came over and gave an estimate. We were able to schedule the work to be completed in a short time. They called ahead to have the underground lines marked. When the work was completed, much of the visible damage from the settling had been corrected. Everything was very well done and it comes with a warranty that is transferable to new owners.

As far as we know, the job went fine. I wish they had been more informative about the equipment they were going to use and what the equipment was going to do. They didn't ask if we wanted to save a bush that they had to remove. They demolished a flower bed.

They did a very good job. Their estimate was right on and they showed up when they were scheduled. They had good office communication and we were very pleased with the outcome.
Description of Work: We had a bowed wall that they anchored and made secure. They also did some drainage and put a sump pump in the corner.

The work was scheduled on what turned out to be some of the coldest days of the winter. Three workmen came with machinery on the day scheduled. They were extremely diligent in doing their job and although we offered hot drinks they did not take us up on our offer not wanting to bring any dirt into our house. They even had their own microwave to take care of their lunch. The men were very thorough in examining the foundation from the crawl space before, during and after the work. On the initial inspection, they felt that we needed to have 2 more piers installed on the side of the house because of cracks there and called for a salesman to come and verify that thought. This was not a welcome word to us, but neither was it a surprise since we had had two other companies suggest the same thing in their estimates and I had seen the cracks myself. The salesman said we might be able to get by without the additional piers but that we might need them done in the future and that he would recommend going with them now for the best results on stabilizing the structure and gave us a small break on the additional price. In the end, we decided to swallow the bitter pill and do the job right. The work was completed in two days. The job was a messy one with a lot of dirt about, but the crew used plastic to contain the mess and it was amazing how well they were able to clean up afterwards, almost as if they had not been there. I was thankful that they were able to keep from damaging 4 bushes close to the foundation. There was concrete that had to be removed in order to install the piers and they gave a verbal promise to come back in warmer weather to patch it. In the end the lift on the structure was not as dramatic as we had hoped although there was a definite closing of cracks in the brick and we are assured that the structure will not move again. Acculevel did come back in the spring and concrete the 3 places dug in the patio as promised.
Description of Work: Installed 8 helical piers on the front and one side of a ranch house to lift and stabilize the cracked and shifted foundation damaged by shoddy work of a sewer company. Our son purchased a a vacant house that needed some extensive foundation work. We had gotten other estimates of 4 piers, 5 piers, 8 piers and Acculevel's first estimate of 6 piers. We realized this work was crucial to the integrity of this house and tried to do as much research as we could before making our decision. Greg Falcone came out to give us an estimate for the house and seemed very knowledgable about what needed to be done and how his company could best help us. He described two types of piers and suggested we would do best with the helical type. He gave us literature that proved very helpful to us and referred us to Acculevel's website which also had technical information available. Mr. Falcone wrote up a proposal/contract that offered a full life of the structure warranty against further vertical settlement should we sign it, and he was honest in stating that although he thought we would be able to get lift on the structure as a result of the work that the level of lift could not be guaranteed. His company required a deposit of 20% before work would begin. At the time of the estimate, Mr. Falcone did not crawl under the house to look at the structure from the inside which distressed me. Acculevel's estimate was the midlevel bid on price. After we had received all bids for the work, my husband and son decided that they would like to go with a company who was very experienced in the work that needed to be done. Acculevel was able to show actual jobs they had done in Indiana and the fact that they were not a franchise but a local business in operation many years was a plus to us. However, we asked if Mr.Falcone would come back and go under the house to verify his estimate of the work that needed to be done. Unfortunately, the day that he came the sump pump under the house broke and there was too much water for him to safely enter. Nonetheless, we decided to go with his company for the work.

Their field engineer came out and reviewed the job. He told me he could use 3 steel posts instead of the 4 existing posts. In addition, they could transfer the weight of the deck to the new posts before removing the old. He told me the steel posts were treated and would last a lifetime. He also told me I could enclose the new posts in a wooden case to maintain the overall wooden appearance of the deck. After agreeing to the work, another engineer came out to plan the work and make the final determination how the deck would be anchored to the new posts. He decided to add extra re-enforcement to the main cross beam of the deck to provide more rigidity with the fewer posts. This did not change the price. I scheduled the work to be done with their main office and the workers showed up right on time. They had been thoroughly briefed and knew exactly what they had to do. The posts have an auger attached to them and the workers used a hydraulic drive to screw the posts into the ground. I was impressed with how thick the pipe walls were on the new posts. The 3 workers worked quickly, did a good job and cleaned up well after they were done. The job was done as I expected and I was pleased with the results.
Description of Work: My deck overhangs a ravine and was held up by four 6 X 6 wooden cedar posts. These posts were set into the ground such that they were in direct contact with the earth. Over time, I noticed that the posts were deteriorating at their bases and decided to repair/replace them. This was a difficult project as the ground on the side of the ravine was steeply sloped and the deck had to be supported while the post work was done. After a fruitless search through the deck repair and landscaper portions of Angie's list, I finally found a company who said they could do the work -- Acculevel.

Gus and his crew arrived promptly. They covered all areas they walked through and the area where they were to do the repair. Each crew member had a specific job from digging out a large area near the foundation outside to drilling and patching areas inside. They kept us informed of how the work was going even stopping to explain what they were doing. A warranty for their work was provided.
Description of Work: Provided an estimate for repairs to foundation. Explained their process and the scope of the work to be done. They dug out an area outside to expose the foundation, installed wall anchors and filled cracks in the foundation walls both inside and outside.

Quick response to the initial inquiry to come out and do the estimate. Once the work was agreed on, they were out in a couple of days and had the work completed in under one day! Was a less invasive fix than the other companies had proposed.
Description of Work: Cinder Block walls had shifted along a basement wall leaving cracks and gaps. Acculevel came out very soon after contacting them, had a structural engineer look at the problem and determined that the damage was not as severe as two other companies had led us to believe. They indicated that we did not need to excavate outside the house and have the wall straightened (expensive), nor did we need expensive steel piers put in. They installed carbon fiber straps onto the walls to prevent further wall movement and guarantee their work, at a price reduced from the other companies "fixes". Don't know how the price compares to other companies that also employ the carbon fiber strap, seems like a lot of money for what little materials and labor are involved, but they assured us that this would keep the wall secure and from further movement.

Andy Beery was punctual and very forthright during estimate visit. As this was a rather unusual project, and had been addressed unsuccessfully 5 years ago at great expense, there were a lot of questions; Andy made himself available to answer all of them and was very patient with explanations. Work commenced and ended on schedule with no surprises or problems. Temporary credit card problems were handled with amazing flexibility. I was very impressed with all aspects of this company and its employees.

Accu Level showed up on time and gave us a good estimate. Recommended against trenching certain portions of the basement because it wasn't necessary, saving us a fair bit of money. Trenched 70% of basement and installed sump pump and pit. Also, fixed two foundation problems that other contractors could not address. Waterproofed one crawl space. Overall, we are happy. The estimator and crew showed up on time. Basement has been completely dry since the day they left. Our only problem was that the crew got a bit sloppy with the concrete and concreted the sump pump lid to the top of the pit! Also, there was a film of concrete over the entire basement floor that took ages for us to clean up. When we called about the sump pump lid, Accu Level sent someone out within a few days, who cleaned it up entirely.

Andy Beery was very good to work with. He explained their system and how it worked, as well as talked about how other systems worked. Andy was thorough, professional and followed up quickly on questions. He was very patient. He followed up to be sure I didn't have any more questions. Any of the systems would have likely worked for my situation, but Andy's follow up won him the work. His crew was quick and efficient on the installation. They showed up on time and were able to complete the job in one day. My only issue, if there was any, was the soil leveling and the replanting weren't quite what I would have liked. All in all a very well done job!
Description of Work: Our foundation on the partial crawl space in our home had settled slightly. We wanted to stabilize it so it would not drop any further. AccuLevel excavated and installed 5 helical piers to stabilize and slightly lift the foundation. They removed and replanted the shrubbery, in addition to performing the excavation and installation work.
