I have nothing but praise for C&S Carpeting! I am especially grateful for their patience and expertise with my project. Renovation is always more difficult and time consuming than new construction. My project, a 103 year old house,has been very challenging. Typical to the nature of such projects, we have set dates for completion of certain phases only to have those dates moved back--and in some cases really moved back--because a different issue/problem arises and needs to be addressed before the work we thought we were focusing on can be completed. C&S was very understanding and patient regarding these delays. They held my flooring and carpeting in their warehouse without fee or hassle until it was ready to be installed. I might add that my delays took months! Their employees are super professional. Tina was very knowledgeable about their products. She offered many suggestions about color, wear and compatibility. She presented alternative solutions so that I might stay in budget. When I presented my non-conventional idea of lay-out, she accepted my idea and even helped with creative suggestions! I was able to take samples home and she even special ordered samples for me. Chad, the wood floor installer, was incredible. He is a perfectionist and expects his craft to reflect his pride of workmanship. When the hard wood flooring wasn't to his satisfaction, he told me it would be necessary to put the installation on hold. The wood had not been milled correctly, and it wasn't joining together correctly. We were both disappointed. I understand things happen. I am grateful that Chad was willing to stop the project and wait for the correct wood to arrive. This delay took about one month. But to emphasize, I would much rather wait for a great finished product than be disappointed with a completed job. The carpet installer, Rolly, was also professional and wonderful to work with. This is the second time I have had him install carpet for me. As I mentioned earlier, I had some specific ideas about the design of the layout, and Rolly worked patiently with me to get the look I wanted. He is very meticulous and willing to take the time necessary to complete a great job. He literally spent over an hour making sure the repeat pattern on the carpet matched where it was pieced.On both occasions he previewed the situation so he would have all the necessary extras for the adjustments old homes sometimes need. He is prepared and willing to go that extra mile where creativity is needed. C&S is remarkable. I will definitely use them for the remainder of "this old House" . Their professionalism removed a lot of stress from this phase of the renovation.
