COVINGTON HOME IMPROVEMENTS INC

We have hired Bruce and Covington Home Improvements in the past and were very happy with him so were not surprised it went well - some delays as is common with any project - nothing due to Bruce's fault. Had more to do with weather, delivery delays, and unforeseen problems with some electrical issues. Very satisfied with the work - Bruce is always so good about doing things the way you want it. There were some problems with the paint not 'sticking' on some of the closet doors and Bruce did his best to correct it. Has even offered to work on it more when the weather warms up this spring if we have any more problems with it. Not sure if it's a paint issue or door finish problem - time will tell.

This was a very large job and I got 3 quotes originally. I found and met Bruce (Covington Home Improvements) through Angie's List (first time using Angie's List). Let me start by saying I had an open spending limit (within reason). Bruce was aware of this yet did not take advantage of that knowledge. He was great to work with. He stayed in contact with me throughout the job so I knew when he (or his crew) would and wouldn't be there, etc. He had no problem with me being around a lot and asking lots of questions (to learn, not to be a bother) though I'm sure I was a bother at times, too lol. He treated my home as if it were his own. The sub-contractors he is affiliated with were every bit as wonderful to work with. I've even since used his HVAC man for some other work. Many years ago I had a very bad experience with a large job (a different contractor in a different city) so I was a little gunshy. Bruce got me past all that very quickly and finished just as strongly as he started the job 2 months earlier. When I found a single item that we (both) forgot I called Bruce and he was literally out the very next day to take care of it at no (added) cost to me. Bruce and ALL of his sub-contractors have great ideas and designs and I am so glad I wasn't closed minded. I listened and used many of their idea's and am so pleased with the finished work. Bruce will be the first and only person I'll contact if and when I need more work done in the future.

The owner came, talked up a great storm about how good he was, said he'd get back to us in a few days with a quote. We waited a week and had to call him. He said he still needed a few days and would call us back. He made it sound like we'd be next on his list of jobs. We were all ready to get going with the project. We never heard from him again. We waited 4 weeks and have now started contacting others. Why didn't he at least call us back instead of wasting 4-5 weeks of prime building time?

They were very good. Their service, professionalism and clean up is excellent. The whole crew came out and they got it done within a day.

I would have nothing negative to say at all. I give them all A's.

The final product is far beyond our expectations. We are thrilled with how our kitchen looks. It was a two phased project with the garage and porch first and then the kitchen. It looks as if it has always been here. He gives sound advice as to what will work and what won't . He gives suggestions on what he thinks you might want and goes with the flow. Very easy to work with. I would never hire anyone else to do any more work on my house. Although at this point, we are pretty much done. I have recommended him to 2-3 other people I know and they have hired him.

Went beyond what was required. Very easy to work with, will use again.

Bruce gave suggestions that enhanced my original plans. This was very helpful, as there were items I had missed in my planning. Bruce selected his suppliers and other craftsmen with care. Everything was completed and the details looked after. I highly recommend Covington Home Improvement without any reservations.

The quality of the work is excellent. He's very personable, professional and punctual.

Bruce was great! Very good at answering any questions we had, and very patient when I had a hard time making decisions. He organized the sub contractors in a timely manner, and made sure the work was done to satisfaction. We used some sub contractors we already knew and he was great working with them, too. He kept us informed and up to date on what was happening. He also kept things as neat and tidy as possible. He did a super job with a hanging sliding door. I don't know that he had ever done one, and it works great! He built a wood valance for it to hide the hardware (track) so it looks great, too. We wish we had known about him 18 years ago when we originally built this house! He is knowledgeable without being arrogant and is just a really nice guy to work with. We are so pleased that we found him on Angie's List!!

The owner is very professional, honest and responsive. He is easy to get along with. My sister in law referred me to him.

I guess I was too small of a job for him to bother with, or that's the impression I was left with after all the contacts.

He acted like he knew what he was doing. He had to come several times for the jobs. I would not have had him come again if he didn't do a good job.

It turned out wonderful. He has painted for me for many years.

Everything matches perfectly. You would never know any work was done...which is always the goal with repairs.

we called for a bathroom remodel, he was prompt in getting us an estimate, then came in with his plumber and said it wld be a couple weeks before he cld start three weeks later no word from him. I called and called and left messages and he never responded, the following week he finally answered my call and said ohhh i guess i should have called you its just too much for me, its over my head. he should have answered my calls and told me right away, now i have had to contact another contrator to try and get this bathroom fixed asap! he knew how badly this room needed fixed and he left us hanging not knowing what was going on.

Bruce Debolt is extremely easy to work with, he is thorough, honest, his quality of work is excellent and he and his team were there every step of the way. Bruce offered lots of good ideas in which we implemented many of them and we are certainly glad we did. The remodel he did for us is awesome he extended our family room with much needed square footage and opened it up with beautiful windows, it is like he brought the outside in it is so cozy and serene. The other contractor's Bruce hired for the electrical, drywall, cement, guttering etc. were also great to work with. They were professional, courteous and very neat they all made this a very stressfree experience for us. We can depend on Bruce and his team for any project we need done no matter how big or how small. We have and will continue to recommend Covington Home Improvement to anyone who needs a great contractor.

This contractor is awesome!! Totally professional! During the planning stages, he was extremely helpful. After reviewing the old blueprint for our home, he came up with several great ideas, all of which we implemented. His expertise made things we never would have imagined possible a reality. He was onsite overseeing his subcontractors and made sure everything was up to his standards down to the last detail. When I made changes (who doesn’t?) it wasn’t the least bit stressful, as he implemented them with professionalism and courtesy. Bruce DeBolt is a true general contractor. When an unforeseen problem came up he handled it. We never had to solve a problem on our own. He never made it “our problem.” Our last remodeling experience was a nightmare. What a difference a great contractor makes! We couldn’t be happier!! Friends are amazed at the transformation after seeing the before pictures. He’s already gotten calls from some for their future projects. We have contracted him to do our next project, the screen porch and patio area. When it’s time for our roof to be replaced, we will be calling him. You can’t go wrong with Covington Home Improvements! It’s great to work with someone you can trust! Bruce was referred to us and we are referring him with no hesitation.
