+ -1 moreHe gave a very thorough inspection, spending about 3 hours. His routine is to inspect the house unaccompanied by either buyer or seller, then provide a written report to the customer. However, he had no problem meeting me at the house before he left, and giving me a verbal summary as well as pointing out several of the issues that he uncovered. Make sure you take notes if you talk to him on-site. Some of the things he told me that day were not in the report that I received about a week later. He was very professional. He provided a lengthy written report. I had to get a separate septic system inspection. I would definitely hire him again, and hope that whoever buys my old house does not.
Description of Work: Home inspection of a house we wanted to buy. Inspection included exterior and roof, living area and attic, but he did not move any furniture/appliances or inspect any covered electrical outlets. He did test all appliances, except the refrigerator ice-maker, which was disconnected, and the A/C because the weather was too cold. He did have a gizmo to detect any moisture behind wallboard in the basement.

+ -1 more1. In of a house we wished to purchase -- he verbally gave us a glowing report, and followed up with a timely written verification. But as we were leaving the home on inspection1. Missed defects in house siding, and fans in both bathrooms 2. Still has not provided well water analysis he charged us $45 for, over 20 days later (he said it would be a couple of days)
Description of Work: He performed what we thought was a thorough inspection of a home we were purchasing. He followed that with a timely written report via email. But as we were leaving the home on inspection day, we noticed damage to the vinyl siding, something he failed to see. Also, he missed that ceiling fans in both bathrooms were cracked.
