+ -1 moreMike and his crew cut down a very huge tree that had large limbs overhanging my neighbors garage. They also pruned some large limbs on another large tree that were overhanging my house. Excellent cleanup when finished. Mike is very friendly and seems to be very honest. I had several other estimates but Mike's price beat all of the others by far!!

+ -1 moreIt went great and very reasonable. Mike was very nice and friendly. They were very prompt. They had to use my neighbors driveway and take down my fence. They were very considerate about it. They cut down the trees and cleaned up the wood. It was very well cleaned up. You would not have known trees were cut down. They hauled the wood away. They chopped up the tree stumps plus another one from a previous dead tree. They went further and took care of 2 stumps from old bushes. That was so great of them. I appreciate everything they did. They put the fence back up when they were done. I would so hire them again. FANTASTIC JOB! I wish it would let me give them an A+. Thank you Mike and Staff. Thank you so very much!

+ -1 moreDuring our snowstorm, a tree blew down on my front lawn. This was bad, as this could block water flow and it was due to rain in a couple of days. Mike was familiar with this property as he had done work here previously. He was here the following day and removed the tree, getting it our before the rain came, preventing a possible nightmare scene of backed up water. As usual, Mike did a great job!

+ -1 moreThey performed the job the next day for $2200 without . They saved me as the other person I had asked said it would be about $6000 and they needed to use a crane. They were professional. They were trustworthy. They had immediate response. They got the job done promptly. UPDATE AS OF 03/23/2016 Despite numerous requests Mike's Tree Service has failed to provide me with the promised documentation that is required for me to submit a claim and be reimbursed by my neighbors insurance company because the tree was on his property when it fell on my roof.

They took great care not to disturb the property and they left the place very clean when they were done. (the price above reflects a senior citizen discount).

Description of Work: This is the second time I hired Mike's to remove trees at my house. the trees removed were Ash trees. Mike's employees were very professional and worked quickly cleaning up the fallen branches, raking up the twigs, etc. even using a leaf blower afterwards cleaning up to the point that there was nothing for me to do! The stumps were removed and Mike's guys cleaned those chips up as well, hauling away all debris. Very pleased and will hire them again for future work.

+ -1 moreI really want to celebrate the professionalism of Mike's Tree Service (Michael Kobe). Mike's Tree Service was excellent, fair, and delivered as promised. During a bad storm, we had our 60 ft tree starting dropping limbs. We called a "local" tree service and they turned out to be real shysters. Absolute crooks - who said they could make the problem "look like a lightning strike" to "allow" us to place a claim on insurance. Unscrupulous. They quoted us 4X higher the going rate and said, "We're doing YOU a favor". Would we have been totally naive, we might have gone with them as they tried to bully us into taking their service right then and there. (At 8 in the evening, in the twilight of night, they put up ladders and ropes even before we had agreed to a price or anything). Angie's List really worked out for us as we called a highly rated company in Mike's Tree Service. Mike's Tree Service is insured!. They did a wonderful top-notch job. Polite, courteous - all the things one would expect from a true professional. Mike did the job right and cleaned up afterwards. Mike provided great communication throughout. I highly recommend Mike's Tree Service and will use them again should the situation arise. Do your homework! Beware of the hustlers who try to take advantage of one's ignorance. The power of the review is a good thing. Place Mike's Tree Service on the top of your list.

+ -1 moreI have to give them extra credit because the oak tree was near a drainage easement, so the ground around the tree often times is quite soft. Instead of bringing a truck, which would have tore up the yard, they opted to use a tree climber. The cost of the job was more than reasonable considering the scope of this project.
Description of Work: They completely removed a large black oak tree as well as a broken branch on a hickory tree. They also removed all debris and cleaned up.

+ -1 moreMike's Tree Service was very professional and courteous. Mike, the owner, maintained excellent communication due to weather delays. He and his crew arrived promptly at the time arranged. They immediately began to work effectively and safely as a team. The tree that was removed, to include stump-grinding, was hazardously overhanging the neighbor's house. The huge oak tree that was topped overhung two houses and had powerlines precariously close. I am very very satisfied with how and what they did, to include their clean-up. Mike charged a fair price, bettering others. Yes, I am completely satisfied and would refer Mike's Tree Service to anyone with all confidence.

Called Mike to make an appointment to come out for an estimate. He showed up on time, explained what he would do, gave me a fair price, and we set up a time. His crew showed up on time and in no time were on their way. They did an excellent job cleaning up after themselves and everything went smooth. Highly recommended.

+ -1 moreHis estimate We have been calling around for quite a while to have a very large, dangerous tree taken down. We have several estimates but Mike seemed to be the most competent and knowledgeable about what we wanted. His estimate was in the middle of the range and he told us he would be out Thursday, meaning tomorrow. He called us this morning and said he would be out in a little bit to get started. Seriously, how often does someone come out a day early. He arrived this morning with a bucket truck, a chipper, a trailer and a crew of three guys. They immediately got started, continuing even when we had a half hour downpour. They hauled away the larger logs, chipped up the branches, had a stump grinder come to take care of several stumps and cleaned up everything afterwards. I would highly recommend Mike's Tree Service!

+ -1 moreGreat ! When weather delayed the appointment he kept in touch with me by phone so I knew exactly what was happening. He advised that another limb was cracked and might be blown on my neighbor's fence and so needed to come down and took down another to try to improve the look of the remaining tree. He and his workers were hard workers and did a great job. I especially liked that I did not get an answering service but instead Mike spoke to me , came out the same day for estimate and set up appointment for the coming week. I plan on Mike removing some evergreen bushes next week.
Description of Work: Half of tree came down in storm. Mike and his workers cut two additional limbs off the tree cut up limbs on the ground moved them off the property, chipped them ,raked all leaves and left lawn clean.

+ -1 moreExcellent. They showed up when they said they would, got the job done safely, and cleaned up nicely when they were done. They clearly know what they're doing. We got a couple lower quotes for the job but we went with Mike's because we felt more comfortable and confident with Mike than the others. A few years ago we went with the cheapest price we could find to take down a tree and ended up less than thrilled with the job and the attitude. We give Mike's an and quot;Aand quot; on price because we consider them worth it. Mike is a good guy, is comfortable to talk to and work with, and is clearly a straight shooter. I highly recommend him and his guys to anyone.

Description of Work: I called to get estimates to have 4 trees remov ed from my fence line as well as an additional stump. Mike came out the next day gave me a verbal estimate. I requested a wriiten one,he said he would drop it by the next day or so. I did have to call back a week later to remind them to send a wriiten estimate.They apoligised. I recieved the estimate that day. Called them the following day to except their services. They set up a date for the following week with a promise to call the night before to confirm so myself and my neighbors could make arrangements for our pets. I was called the night prior.I returned home from work after the job was done the following day,wasa very pleased with the work. Absolutely no debris was left in mine or my neighbors yards! They even reattached my fence in two places where the trunks were actually growing into the chain link so that my dogs could not escape!! I was left a message about one stump that actually was caught up in the concrete holding the fence posts that they tried to remove but kept breaking their blade. So when the fence company comes to replace my existing fence in two weeks,hopefully when they remove the old one the shallow root/stump will come out with the concrete. Mike did offer to come back if there is an issue at that time. Nice,very polite young man,even my neighbors came by to tell me how professional they all were. YES I highly recommend these young men!! I called three other tree services from this site and only one even responded!! I told Mike I was a member of Angies list and goingto recommend his service to other members.
