Gutter Guys

I gave the 1-star, mostly because there wasn't a lower option but I guess at least he showed up initially to give the estimate, so that's worth something? Largely, I wasted a month with this clown who I scheduled an appointment for repairs and other matters to be addressed and did get a quote on Nov. 5th, which I *immediately* accepted and asked to be put on the schedule. After hearing nothing by Nov. 15th, I sent a follow-up email asking when I might expect to hear something. An apology email followed from Mandy, the office girl who bless her soul was the best part of this experience and I feel bad she's in the position she is... but she assured me she'd contact Travis and I would hear something soon. He called and said someone would be out that next day or the day after (16th & 17th)... I tried reassuring him that I wasn't upset (at least yet) and wasn't trying to be a 'Karen' and understood they were probably very busy, but was simply looking to know when I might expect an appointment and if he needed longer- no problem. He again insisted someone would be out 'Thursday or Friday' (though no time window to plan for, but at the time I assumed they might call before heading my way). As the week ended, the weekend came and went, and went into the following week without even the chirp of a cricket from Gutter Guys, I again tried following up to see what happened and when I might expect the work to be done. In all, 6 email volleys back/forth with Mandy commenced with the last on Dec. 1st (pictured) where she again finds herself apologizing for the lack of customer service, understanding the frustration of being jacked around, saying it happens more and more now that he's become the owner and it wouldn't be a bad idea to take my business elsewhere if I actually wanted it to get done. Unlike maybe I would historically feel, I've been trying to be better at forgiveness and flexibility for businesses that over-promise but under-deliver... I all but begged for this business to simply come out and do what they quoted they would do, only asking that they let me know when they could do it and then show up when they said they would. The closest they came was the estimate, which is of no value to customers if there isn't any action beyond that. So to any future potential customer considering 'Gutter Guys' this is probably a good practice run for what getting the work done might almost feel like, but don't count on any actual follow-up service work being done. Ever. In all, a very time consuming and frustrating experience leaving me with starting from scratch here in December, hoping someone else will have availability to beat another snowfall. Recommendations for all competitors are welcomed!!

They were excellent. They did everything they said they would do and when they would do it. The price seemed fair.
