ARS / Rescue Rooter Indiana

ARS changed the subpump in my basement in February 2006. It cost us $1200. In May 2006 the subpump broke again. I call ARS again. The subpump was insured only if it wasn't damaged by a foreign object. The plumber checked and found a sort of very hard compound. My kids do not have access to the bathroom in the basement. I don't know where this thing came from. We had to replace the pump again and it cost us $1200 again. I found out after that a subpump costs at the hardware store a maximum of $300 and take one hour to install.

I called Friday evening and was asked if I wanted someone to come out then or the next morning between 8:00-9:00. I said the next morning was fine. At 7:40 am I got a call that the tech was on the way to look at my water heater. When the tech arrived, he stated he was there to look at the A/C. He was very apologetic about the mix-up and told me to call the office. I called and was told they wouldn't be able to get someone out until after 4:00. After several minutes of trying to reach a solution with this person, I asked to speak with a supervisor. None was available, so I asked to speak with the dispatcher. The dispatcher did tell me she would put me next on the list for the plumber to come to my house. The plumber called soon afterward and said he was on the way from New Whiteland. He arrived at 9:05 and was very courteous and professional. I was very disappointed with the first person I spoke with because she offered no solution for a mix-up that was clearly not my fault.

Troy was on time and very polite. Did thorough check and kept me informed throughout. I ended up getting basic maintenance done instead of an actual repair and since I also signed up for a maintenance agreement I thought there should have been an adjustment on the $89 service call charge. He did honor the coupon for $25 off when pressed which I appreciated. I would have liked to have seen him turn off my outdoor hose when finished as I didn't discover it still on until the next day.

Had estimate done in October. Because wall had to be cut out, decided to wait until spring (after holiday company). In 6 months, price went up from $240 to $350. Would not honor estimate due to length of time. They were on time, cleaned up. Check around for prices.

They were very prompt and courteous. I had another company also give an estimate and I will probably go with them based only off of reputation.

The technician arrived on time and diagnosed our air conditioning problem fairly quickly. He explained this to me, told me what needed to be done and how much this would cost. He completed the repair and checked everything was working properly. I was satisfied with the work done.

He did an excellent job, and stayed with it until all the water was gone.

Company responded to our call quickly. Our technician was very friendly, knowledgeable, and honest in his assessment of what needed to be done. Gave us some tips for how to prevent a future occurrence.

I was told I would need a sticker for the warranty. But I have made several calls and have been unable to get the sticker from them.

The Air-Trol Service Technician was on time, and listened to my explanation of the problem very carefully. Scott was able to diagnose the problem very quickly, and had it fixed within an hour. We did have issues the next day, and it turned out to be a bad capacitor on the fan motor. The service technician was prompt again and replaced the capacitor free of Charge. We will definitely call on Air-Trol again for our AC service and maintenance needs. And we plan to move forward with a service contract with them. Great Job Air-Trol!!

They found an error, that an electrician had made in my wiring. They were on time and professional, and gave me lots of good information. Their workmanship was excellent.

Dino was very friendly, neat and on time. Unfortunately, he could not fix my toilet, but I was also not charged for the work.

They worked me in for an estimate and when I found out my air compressor was under warranty were very gracious about it.

They came out and serviced my HVAC unit and provided proof of the results compared to the manufacturers specs. They showed up on time, were very thorough, and I'd recommend them to anyone!

We have used them several times and they have all been good. The guy that came out this time was very nice. I don't think the price was too outlandish, especially since it was serviced on a holiday. The response was very good as well.

Horrible! We came home from a trip to an 88-degree house--A/C wouldnt come on and one family member is asthmatic. We have a service contract with ARS--called them several times (once, I gave them a wrong return number; though our home number is on file with them, that apparently set us back about 12 hours), got a different story each time. They WOULD NOT tell us whether they could even get there that day, but if we went to a motel for the night it might make the wait longer. Doug, the technician, appears to be the only employee with any people skills. The office staff used to work for Attila the Hun.... Sure, things get chaotic in an AC service company during the first big hot spell--but isnt that what AC service is all about? These people fell apart!

They have completed PM on our Heating & A/C the past several years. Excellent service. The technician examined the heat exchanger & also the duct, & said neither were in need of repair. The rust was cosmetic & he showed me how to clean it. There was no charge for this part of the work.

Sam explained what was needed and did the work. He was professional and answered all my questions. The price was more than I expected for an hours worth of work, but he showed me the the rate and it had to be done. All in all it was nice service.

Their technicians are very efficient and knowledgeable. I asked one of them if we should replace something he was repairing, and he told me no because they dont make them like that anymore. I was struck by his honesty.

These guys are really good. They just go far beyond expectation, and they're so trustworthy, which is why we stuck with them. They do such a thorough job and the guys are always polite. They're also thoughtful about your carpeting and don't ever leave a mess. They give you a window that they will come, and if they miss that by 30 seconds, they write you a check for $50. The guy was late one time by about 2 minutes, and insisted on writing me a check even when I said he didn't need to.

Excellent. Responded promptly to call when furnace failed. Provided information on repair versus replacement. Work was scheduled and completed the following day.

They came and they hauled everything away. They cleaned up after themselves.

The estimate was promptly provided & alternatives were thoroughly discussed. The installation was scheduled when the estimate was provided. The 2 men who replaced the units arrived on time & they completed the whole job in around 5 hours. The work was performed professionally & there was a lot of attention to detail. The installers took great care to ensure that the work area was kept neat & clean. The only problem that I experienced was that the electronic thermostat was not reprogrammed for the type of furnace/air conditioner that was installed (two stage heat/one stage cool).
